I was let go, after being assured I wouldn't be, without reason. However, it was after an accident where I had to clean the dust from a CNC machine that separated boards. We did it outside because there was no protocol for cleaning it and some dust fell into a water drain. Neighboring company threw a fit and call the CEO and the situation was investigated and cleaned up. I was assured everything was fine and that they should have had a protocol for this so it wasn't my fault. The next Monday I was let go without reason. Other than that it was just a pretty boring job. They did stretch me pretty thin though with getting me to do things outside of my regular duties. Overall I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to join the production floor. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people and leadeship team.  Depth of knowledge is immense.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The pace is fast and expectations are high, you need to pull your weight.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture is great, relaxed and friendly but in busy periods you are expected to put in the extra

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pretty flexible timewise, start early and finish early or visa versa. Great atmosphere and workday environment. Lovef working there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Blackline pay very high salary. A report developer was paid 115k and team lead was paid 137k.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You never know when they fire you. They can fire you at anytime. 13 team members were reduced to 3 now. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is no meaning for culture in this company. They don't trust you even though you are loyal to the company. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
At least some weekends you can take rest.

Blackline Safety's business had boomed in the past couple years, which led to more employees and a need to move into a larger building.  Unfortunately this meant an entirely new management team, but no guidance or leadership.  Many newer employees who were brought on board were left to figure their new role out on their own, while there was never any management around, and no set team leader.  

While the company may mean well, and may get better in these areas, they are currently just poorly equipped in regards to leadership and nepotism.

The upper management is open minded. Everyone that works around you is extremely smart, and cares deeply about the product. 

Everyone comes together to problem solve, and support each other intellectually and with the workload. There are almost no egos in the way of growth, and everyone is open to new ideas. Young management team with lots of room to grow into new positions and to advance your career.

Can safely say that I love coming to work every day.

There is an ugly underbelly to this company although they try so hard to cover it up. Lack of leadership and direction is prevalent and they are rife with personnel issues.  It would benefit them to switch out some of the management and long term employees. Do yourself a favour and give this place a pass, there’s better out there.

Working at Blackline Safety has been a great experience with alot of growth. The company strives to create a great overall work environment. Blackline is an innovative company who listens to thier clients and employees to better assist in keeping people safe and going home to their loved ones.

I love coming to work every day. I am challenged and I have the opportunity to make my mark. Management is innovative, willing to take risks and hires people for their expertise, then trusts them to use their skills.

even through we are the SOC side of Blackline we end up doing everyone's work for them. You could basically remove every department and only have SOC if it comes down to this.

Flexible working hours, remote or on site. Great team spirit across all departments. Fast growing with a great leadership team. Expectation to go the extra mile at times but well rewarded. Relaxed friendly atmosphere.
