I have NEVER written a review before in my life, although since working for Blinds to Go, i never start a job without looking up reviews first. This company is pathetic and a joke. There's a reason they only hire recent college graduates, as they want employees with little to no experience that are desperate to start working, then brainwash them with the company's ridiculous "culture". 
The owner is very shady, you'll have a very hard time finding anything about him or the company in the media, and they keep it that way because they know they are sleaze balls, and the less exposure the better.
I feel ashamed for having bought into it and thinking this was a good career move..
After getting to know the employees, the longest-standing one was just under two years, and this is a rare case. Management was the least helpful, most impatient selfish and manipulative people I have ever met. I worked so much overtime, sometimes 60 hours a week, exceeded my sales targets every week, had amazing customer relationships, and none of this was appreciated. These people are monsters! You're so much better than this company!


I KNOW YOU'RE AN INTELLIGENT PERSON SINCE YOU'RE BOTHERING TO DO RESEARCH ON THE JOB BEFORE STARTING SO DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY! Focus your energy on finding something legit, that will actually appreciate your hard work and reward you for it, DO NOT make this terrible mistake I made by  joining this joke of a company!

The reason I joined Blinds To Go is because they really invest in their employees and care about their personal growth and development. This is something they do from day one when they fly new employees out to their training facilities in either New Jersey or Montreal to learn about the company culture and product knowledge.

Every single hire starts out as a Design Consultant on the floor. Depending on your work ethic, motivation and openness to feedback management really goes above and beyond to help you grow. The company is always looking for hard-working and talented people they can promote from within. They do this through one on one coaching by various managers in the company, workshops provided by the company and conference calls, among other things.

As a manager of a store the company really gives you ownership of your store. You create your own goals, you build your own team and make your own plans to achieve your goals. During this process management helps you if your run into any questions or concerns. You can always reach out to fellow managers for help as well. This creates a great team atmosphere where everyone is looking after each other.

Very difficult to have a work/life balance. When joining BTG, you litterally live for your work as if you are owner of the company. 

Lack of organization, long-term vision and strategic planning. Alot of things are decided and put in place very quickly without taking the time to think about it. This behavior has a direct impact on productivity and it can affects employee morale in the long run.

Too much micromanagement. Trust your employees a little more, let them do the job they were hired for.

Be more transparent during interview/hiring process with the duration of "store time" for corporate position.

Respect your employees : screaming or humiliating employee in a middle of a meeting is not the best place. 


I choose Blinds to Go because it has a long history of leadership in business industry. I am proud to be part of this company who has a top notch culture that doesn’t focus only on the business side but also the growth of their employees. They provide simulation- based training to have a better idea how the process works and having the chance to visit their manufacturing plant is very informative. They have managers who shows a great example of strong leadership as they help and guide you to grow in areas where you wanted, at your own pace, through continuous education and learning. These managers also give honest feedback that will definitely help you to improve. I’d be happy to stay in this company who helped me to discover things about myself that I am not aware of, by giving me tasks that played my strengths. Meeting lovely people and building a relationship as a team is a plus!

Blinds To Go is a terrible job in every way. The company is outdated, still operating as if it’s the 90s. The pay is awful for the amount of work expected, and at times, management straight-up lies. They push “critical feedback” that’s forced and pointless—like telling me my handwriting sucks. That’s not helpful, just insulting. They also mislead employees about the role. “Sales Management in Training” sounds promising, but in reality, it’s just a basic sales job with a $35K salary. The worst part? I realized everyone else on my team had been stuck in the same role for over two years. There’s no real path to becoming a manager—just favoritism deciding who moves up. They dangle career growth as bait, but it’s all a lie. If you’re considering working here, don’t waste your time. There are far better opportunities elsewhere.

Unloading and delivery when the
quantity is in bulk.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Environment is good but depend on the Team members and the Manager with whom you are assigned with.
Your happiness and enjoyment at work , solely depend on the attitude ,culture and ethics of the individuals with whom you are associated at the end of the day.




What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I enjoy being with the customers and serving them, coversing with them happily at ease.
As far as I meet the sales targets and get along well and could serve my clients to their satisfaction, I would be at the top of the moon.

When I first discovered Blinds to Go I had no idea what this company would mean to me. 
When I started with the company I was looking for a fresh new start where I could grow and develop. At my initial interview I learned a lot about the foundation of the company, for example the importance of team work, customer service, and employee growth. The resources provided in the training process like going to our factory provide a transparent view on the company operations while building the relationship Within the different levels of employees. As well as the intensive training classes offer the opportunity to anyone to learn the products inside and out facilitating the selling process. At the end of the day the main focus of the company is always its employees development and happiness. 

My experience working at Blinds To Go was extremely disappointing. The company promised me a role that didn't match the reality of the job. I was tested in a store environment with little support, and it felt like they were trying to break me rather than train me. The team dynamic was toxic, with constant negative feedback and no constructive guidance. Management was largely unhelpful and unsupportive, often laughing at employees' struggles instead of offering assistance.

That being said, I did encounter some managers who seemed like good people, but they appeared to be constrained by the company culture and fearful of speaking.



Is a retail job where you get to meet all the customers and give some advise about blinds and windows coverings. You do lift heavy blinds every morning and when customers come to pick them up.
Most of the time there is no manager, so you have to do your best with customer service related issues.The co-workers are nice and friendly.

I did learn a lot about blinds and in the process i met a lot of lovely people , the part that I liked the most is that the company rotate personal  from store to store and you get to know everyone. Other thing that I love about this jobs is that the owner and the CEO keep in touch with everyone as much as they can.

The Feild support job is fairy easy to do, the only downside is that you have customer, stores and installers yell at you a lot when you're just the middle man trying to fix their problems. 
The office is nice to be in, because they give you a lot of free lunches and snacks. 
The company and office as a whole though does not care about the Feild support team. During the work at home order they make fst go into the office, sick people come in and use other people's computers. The team has a daily covid scare, but they still won't give allow us to work from home even though the other departments are (it's it's government mandated)

They also don't give a raise when you get a "promotion"
