I was hired on and immediately felt this was the type of job if you're passionate and willing to learn as much as humanly possible than you'll get lots out of it. From the extra courses they send you on to the opportunity to advance, you're always able to learn and grow... however. There is a culture of laziness from other staff members that I had trouble dealing with. Sitting for minutes, sometimes hours on end with their phones. Constantly taking personal calls instead of supervising the clients. I've personally witnessed escalations from clients that was a direct result from not doing their jobs. Management and my supervisors were great to deal with and addressed the issues when they came up but with the high turnover rate it's nearly impossible to keep everyone on the same page. I think if Management and Shift leads spent more time on the floor there would be better working conditions. If you have initiative, drive and a great work ethic than you can do well here but you need to constantly push back against lazy coworkers who refuse to act as a team. Kids are wonderful and they really make the job worth while. 

This place is a very toxic culture.  There is little support from upper management.  There is a revolving door of frontline staff, and the ones who stay more than 1 or 2 weeks are extremely burnt out.  There is animosity on the floor that spills over into patient care.  As there is constantly understaffing, there is an expectation that staff complete the job of 2 or 3 people and then are penalized when they can't do it. There appears to be little leadership and more authority. 

During my time with the company, they have given me many opportunities to grow and advance myself. They have provided me the training I've needed during these transitions and have made my growth with the company that much easier. I have enjoyed each step throughout. They have given me the opportunity to work at multiple locations in my short time here and given me the tools to excel at each location each time. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge's I have faced during my growth because I have had the support, I've needed to excel at each and everyone.


The Blossom Group is a great place to work, but it does have its challenges. The clients are highly behavioural and can at time be intimidating for new staff stepping into this role. I find my role more rewarding knowing the impact we have made on some of of our children and young adults that are not accepted in other homes. Getting to work directly with the behaviour team internally is allowing me to grow and expand my knowledge. I have a great relationship with my team and my Manager. The day to day life is always exciting here at the Blossom Group!

It is a fast paced job that can be very challenging, but the residents are all very enjoyable to work with and coworkers and management is supportive when needed. The programming for residents and on site clinical team is a huge benefit as other companies I have worked for relied on outsourced clinical teams which can be challenging and untimely. 

The work-life balance here is excellent! The Management at my location is very involved in our programming and is very approachable. I am pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the head office is. The HR team is great, I have never worked for a company where you feel comfortable approaching office staff with concerns. Very happy with my choice to work here!

Well, my time in this company was bad there is a group of Latina people who think they own the company if they don't like you after a few days they take you out or give you the hardest tasks. 

Great work life balance as you only 4 days a week. Pay could be better. Not enough support from upper management and favouritism . A lot of support from support staff and floor supervisor when needed. 

Overall great place to work.  Great team.  Easy to get ahold of owner if needed. Location manger great at multi tasking and always willing to help where needed
