Blue Giant

I worked at blue giant for many many years.  it was a great place to work 
The last 8 years the place has taken a dive, poor management from the top down. The emplyeesgive their loyalty and the company takes it all and gives nothing back. They don’t have any remorse or respect for veteran employees and don’t give dam about any one but lining their own pockets. They treat the people that put this company on the map like garbage. 
They have decimated all the good employees that knew what they are doing and have hired garbage leaders.  The nepotism in this company is unfair and useless. If your a family member, a lazy worker or don’t have a clue on how to conduct business....you will do well there. 

I would get there on mornings and wait for instruction on what I would be working on for the day. Eg. I might have to weld & put hydraulic tables together or weld spare parts for pump trucks & docks.
I learned to get along with others of different nationality & also learn from errors that made my work very satisfactory at the end. The job in itself was Ok but the distance became inconvenient for me.
The most enjoyable part of the job was fulfilling my duties in an effective manner & end of year Xmas parties or Bonus

There is no typical work day, every day is different. New service calls or installation of new or replacement equipment. You get to work out of new truck with a 5000 LBS crane and all power tools are provided for you. For the most part most co-workers are enjoyable to work with, hardest part of the job is working outside in the winter when its cold out.

It's a below average place to work
The job is fine in the sense of your job and what you do but it's a bad place to work where it's low salary no room to advance un less you are the same, family, race and country as managers
Only once rave gets paid no matter where they work put it this way a general assembler get .50 -
1.00 less than skilled welder

I highly suggest working at blue giant, amazing environment and management, employees are super polite and hard working. always making sure the employees are well and have everything they need for their jobs and when it gets above 25 the fridges are filled with water,gatorade,ice cream,freezes.

go to work clock in weld, go on break, weld, go on lunch, weld, lots of people have worked there a long time. there are worse places to work. most of the welding is done with .045 wire. good machines and excellent ventilation. 

Supervisors dont even supervise, management all over the place, if your not Portuguese... Good luck. Co workers are helpful, but no matter how much experience u have, a welder that just started will make the same amount as someone with 4+ years...

Used to be a good place with some growth and technical challenges. 2020 onward was a snowball rolling downhill. Used to be good people, entire departments are gutted. The rocky bottom of the hill is near.

Well you start work 6 am and it's on a fast moving assembly line of welders and each morning you must log in and log in to every task that moves into your station and then clean your station at the end of your shift.

The manager doesn’t know how to talk to employee.. and I think you are unfearly treated if you are not from the same country are family to someone in the hr are manager position
