Bluebird Contracting

Though my employment with this company was short, I witnessed the management styles and protocols of the company. Most work days consisted of relatively repetitive work  for approximately twelve hours. 
     As a rock truck operator I was put into a situation where I was expected to work well with a multitude of other operators and equipment. This allowed me to learn various problem solving techniques and aid in brainstorming when various issues arose. 
     My co-corkers were almost all quite knowledgeable in their field and knew how to work together seamlessly (not unlike the gears in a very complex clock). 
     The hardest part of the job was dealing with unclear or wrong directions from upper management and then informing our manager of the issues that arose because of it. There were a few conflicts that began because of miscommunication which were not dealt with appropriately. 

     The best part of the job, however, was being around the capable, intelligent team of operators that were hired to work the project. Co-workers would help those who had less experience and would often encourage you when you made mistakes, ultimately raising the moral of the team.

The people I worked with as a technician were great. The management on the other hand was terrible. I've never been lied to as much as I have with this company.  Broken promises all the time.  If you're office staff you can count on regular raises and yearly bonuses.  If you're in the shop or the field don't count on any raises or bonuses.  Overtime was taken away 2 years ago and has never come back.  If you're looking to work 8hrs a day this is the place for you.

Very young and undeveloped management.
The hardest part was being involved with a company that was constantly pushing to expand and grow with out a sustainable foundation to keep it form toppling over and over again. 
Almost no supervision and constantly loosing staff/employees in all departments.
A very young division allows a lot of room to grow and will provide many challenges and areas to learn. 
Never a dull moment and always something new.

The work atmosphere is great for learning when working around open excavations and heavy equipment. There is a great amount of experience in supervision and the management side, whom are all very willing to help if needed.

The equipment and materials supplied are in good working order to ensure that safety and success are priority everyday of work.

Show up on time and you’ll never loose your job. Work safe and always fill out your paper work to the best of your ability and you should be fine. Service equipment daily, it’s new and nice.

Good people on site to work with but management needs to be more organized.

Company is run very poorly and un ethically! Email and Phone calls were never answered and we were always left going in circle's.

Love the OT, not much weekend off but the money is good. The maintenance guys they think they are the top 10 but there are not. The equipment is more likely rental
