Boaz Pharmacueticals Inc.

Applied for this position in July of 2020, offered the position in October 2020.

There was no real interview process, I was only contacted through email.
 
The management staff provided conflicting messages in regards to what is expected of employee.

 On the first day working there as a trimmer they stated that quality was the top priority, and that speed/quantity would come as you gained more experience in the position.

While working there the lead trimmer would constantly brag about his skill as trimmer, and that he made more trimming for the black market than he did working at Boaz.

I was there for approximately 2 weeks before management said that you just aren't fast enough, and told me not to return to work. In that same time period There were multiple employees that either left by choice, or they were also told to not return to work.

I would not recommend working for this employer.



Working with cannabis is fun. The work is not too hard. There's lots of knowledgeable and interesting people to learn about cannabis from. The first few weeks of work are confusing. The orientation is rushed and contains incorrect information. Each day you won't know whether you are working in trim or packaging or somewhere else and the room leads don't know either. If your room lead doesn't like you they will not teach how to do your job properly. Schedules are posted only 5 days in advance and only 1 week at a time. Hours are not consistent. You may have 40 hours one week and 0 hours the next. There are a lot of rules to learn however, management doesn't follow their own rules so it's unclear what which rules have to be followed. Accountability is applied discriminately. 

I had a very short but good time with Boaz, they had a good work environment as everyone was respectful and kind to others. They are able to joke around and got work done at a fast pace. But they didn’t give any formal training, it was very much learn as you go and that was my downfall. I needed some assistance with some things that Wasn’t explained to me prior, causing me to lose my job. Many of my mistakes were minor and could be fixed with a heads up beforehand or some formal training. The work was very easy but with the amount of work done, I feel it we were worked more than the money we were given. It may have been easy work but it was a lot, many days of just pre rolling all day and packaging. But overall a fun job for those who don’t mind being underpaid.

I worked at boaz for roughly 1 year, and saw allot of progression in the company, allot of employees come and go.

I witnessed more than a few unethical business decisions, and was discouraged to speak up as my opinion would just be shot down or not taken seriously.

There are several good managers and employees that make work enjoyable, not every moment was awful.
If you enjoy music, good conversation and easy tedious work, then it’s great.
Remain neutral and don’t engage in the high school drama and gossip and you will succeed.

Pay is awful, but you don’t do a whole lot unless you’re on grow and you’re just cleaning for weeks on end.

I would not recommend employment at Boaz.


I have really enjoyed working for Boaz Craft Cannabis as it is a premium cannabis producer which focuses on a high quality of work. At Boaz the day to day work is very much a labour of love which means the more you care about what you are doing, the more you can succeed in the long run. There is tons of research and development being done which put everyone in a position to learn a lot, and really grow in an industry that is still changing. I could not be happier to find a place to work where the sky is the limit for possibilities.

Ur givin a casual position even though u work full time hours meaning  they can fire you for any reason at anytime , very toxic work environment way too much work for the pay , u definatly don't feel like part of the team higher ups treat workers like garbage, it takes well over a year to get a "full time" position, worst place I've ever worked do not work here or even apply!!!!!!!!! 

Worst place i ever work , worst management i seen in my life .
Master grower and leaders have 0 knowledge about cannabis and Management including respect of Each others. Which is the most important 
You are a Number there like you are at the Hospital.
Avoid this poor Company

Great company with great potential that's poorly managed. Being far behind and short staffed created a stressful work environment. Strenuous repetitive movement and factory style structure. 
Lack of empathy for low level workers and not an equal work pay ratio. 

They claim to have management that is there to help the employees yet that's not the case. Management threatens workers about lay offs if target isn't met. Lack of knowing by management, doesn't feel family like when you have a fear or being let go for any little reason.
