They will give you lots of hours and provide steady work (provided you are a favorite whichever foreman is in charge on any given day). They use the Union as a recruiter for new carpenters, on any day you could be laid off due to "lack of work", only for your replacement to be sent out the next day by the Union. I've seen this happen to many family oriented people that decide that picking their kids up from daycare is more important than working 2+hours overtime every day.

The foremen can be incompetent and vicious to any people they see as a threat. Keep your nose clean and your head down and you'll be fine.The foremen are just as terrified to lose their positions as the rest of the crew and it creates an environment where people will throw each other under the bus to save their own skin. Definitely not a healthy atmosphere.

Massive amount of nepotism there as well. Anyone in any position of power is a married in member of the Bosa family or very close friends.

Nothing. The most comedic thing is watching the disorganization.

Rushing to meet management deadlines.

Overwork every individual until they break. Understaff every project. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up with a rough idea what the game plan is. Wait for the tool box to be open set up station, begin work, get called away to help group:A because concrete or inspection needs all hands on deck to complete it takes longer than anticipated eventually get back to your station and be expected to have the days tasks still complete. Could be mitigated with hiring more staff.

Toxic bulltying culture, I will never work in this hateful exploitative industry yet again, these people in charge are clueless about communication, and information management, so they just make working for them worse than being homeless, and most of the worker they exploit now, live rough and are addicts, these industries deserve this labout crunch, they are terrible as a labourer, simply worse than anything I have ever experience. I was illegally laid off after being bullied for 3 months without recourse, this is just a normal in construction, they can go F themselves.

was a great expience working with this company, They tought me lots. great boss's to work with. treated workers with respect and made sure there was safety at all times. co-workers always there to help if needed. hardest part was fixing all the mistakes after everything was done

Hardest part of the job, as a CSO was to get the long time employees to shed the "macho know-it-all cowboy" attitude and to recognize that 
safety knowledge is not confined to what you already know, but your willingness to embrace new concepts. 
Management was good. Benefits were adequate.

There pay isn't the best, there bosses yell and people are angry a lot of the time, there not that bad or anything really it's just not a special place to work, it's a large company, that pretty much owns the BC real-estate building industry, it's easy to become a number and a cog in the machine there. 

There is a lot of infighting at the site. People are regularily fired for little reason. 
People regularily arguing, 
Absolutely no support from upper management and very very unsafe workpractices overall.
