What is the best part of working at the company?

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Ownership group did not always agree with each other and left employees stuck in the middle over who to support or listen to

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Day to day work was great, laid back.  Plans for growth and development were lacking and if you had an idea it seemed like you were ignored, but then your idea was used and claimed by management with no recognition

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Coordinating with designers to produce engineering drawings for shop.  Figuring methods to produce custom pieces.

Where to start...  The owner wants to be involved on the shop floor at ALL TIMES, and has NO CLUE what’s going on.  He would rather spend ridiculous amounts of money on useless machinery, instead of paying his hard working employees, who which, can produce at least 3 times as much.  Certain employees like to create LOTS of fake rumours/drama.  FAVOURITISM DOES exists for these certain employees, can’t do no wrong.  I really DID enjoy my job while I was there, but due to very poor ownership/management, wages, and very unprofessional “certain” employees, I unfortunately had to move on.

Worst place to ever work!!   Management is horrible!   Made complaints and nothing done    was called into the office told i did nothing wrong and was still forced out of a job    everyone lies according to management   harassment is a daily thing here by supervisor and nothing done     if you hate your life this is the place to be!!!

Was lied to during interviews told we get no overtime 1st week there we had it for months    was told after 3 months there would be raise   and also that we got a bonus once a year!!  All lies

The work was fine, but management and HR were a nightmare, there was a clear lack of communication between the managers, lead hands, “engineers”, and the owners of the company. If you were told one thing by your lead hand/supervisor, be prepared to get told 20 different things by everyone else. HR was also a nightmare due to the fact that if you had the common cold you had to cough up $30-$50 for a doctors note on top of the money you were already losing because you couldn’t work

Workers were great and very respectful and helpful when needed or asked a question. Owner was very respectful and took time to listen to ideas. Plant Manager was terrible would take more days off than be there, wrongful dismissal of job without write up after 3 month probation. Yells at you on shop floor infront of co workers instead of privately speaking with you.

The owner is very difficult to work for. He changes his mind daily on how to perform your daily duties. The conpany on the direction of the owners change work place policies and work hours almost daily. Also the owners will often yell at their employees. Not a healthy environment for your mental well being. A very negative culture. 

Washing royal thrones , eating wood chips and tree sap dip. Also spit shining the glass in the cabinets. Usually only one person working at a time and thats in the owners office on there knees. Floor workers don't do anything except take smoke breaks , management prefer the pipe. Hardest part is trying not to get sick from there smells. Love lunch time get to leave temporarily 

Owners and employees are focused on producing quality cabinetry for a discerning client base. Braam's is a living wage employer and is doing their best to provide industry leading wages and benefits. No business is without its detractors, usually former employees, and Braam's has had a few. Overall, it is the quality of the employee's (skill, personality, commitment, work ethic) that makes Braam's a great place to work.

Typical co-worker drama.  Keep your head down and do your work and everything is good.   Management keeps making changes in the middle of the jobs, making it difficult for people to get the jobs done efficiently and on time.
Overall, I enjoyed my time here.

in shop hours 6 - 4:30 mon - thurs. 6- 2:30 fridays. free pizza each last friday, no compensation for installers or delivery crew. Driver paid same rate as non driver helper, or as recent case, sleeper paid more than driver. Hard work on delivery, not many willing at pay rate.
