Friendly all around in and out of the shop. I learned that welding chrome is not for me. the top management persons were not very organized with this company. I didn't think they should be running it at all.
 Co-workers were great, but like everywhere there's that odd duck.
 
 Hardest part was trying to get much needed stuff from Safety for the night shift.

 Shop supervision was great, Weld Inspection was way too picky, sometime going over tasks more than twice picking it apart.

 I enjoyed working there, it was great other than the Chrome welding, which I think should be done outside or in a enclosed seprate well ventilated area, ot containing the entire shop.

I worked at Bradken Canada and was deeply disappointed by the company’s toxic workplace culture. Despite performing my duties responsibly, I was unfairly dismissed without any valid reason or prior notice. Management shows clear favoritism and a lack of accountability, and decisions often appear biased rather than based on performance or fairness.

There is also a noticeable lack of respect for diversity — racism and discriminatory attitudes are tolerated rather than addressed. Employees who speak up about unfair treatment are often ignored or targeted instead of supported.

I would not recommend this company to anyone who values integrity, respect, and a healthy work environment.

A typical day would start with crane checks and equipment checks. The parts we made went to some amazing projects around the world. Management always treated me good. My co-workers were good but the hardest part was we worked in separate booths (because we are welders) so I someone had a question you had to go into their booth and interrupt their work. Any part fixed and passed by QC always felt good.

Was a great place to work for at first, but when changes in some management happened is when things turned bad. Information that should be shared was not, confidential information was "gossip" and policy's were not being enforced. Alot of contradiction and poor self evaluation system as we were told we could not score ourselves higher than a 3 out of 5.

I work on pipes doing spot repair, overlay(manual or machine operated). I learned handling welding machines (MIG and TIG), operating cranes. The management is fine and my co-workers are awesome. I do not see hard part on my job because once I learned it then I can do it alone. The most enjoyable part of my job is when my Lead Hand cook barbecue for us and eat dinner together with all my co-worker.

A typical day at work was busy, filled with loading/unloading pallets, completing orders, filling stock and filing paperwork.
I learned about management and what it takes to be a proper and efficient leader. 
The hardest part was leaving my job due to shortage of work. 
I enjoyed every aspect of this job including the people I worked with.

It's a good place to work. This is my second time working here. I do wish the work/life balance was a bit better. 
Management is a good team that dose what they need to get the job done. I would like to see myself here for many years to come. But who knows. If you just want another job Go find it if you want a team that knows one another and is honestly like one big fam Bradken all the way. But really can I go to days!!!

Having several locations in the city it was important to stay close to them all, and maintain good relations with the employees and management to ensure compliance, communications and actions.

The most gratifying is being with a company that you can see as time goes, the safety culture shift, with people being the driving force to zero harm.

Worked in Foundry industry for 35 years. I enjoyed my time with Bradken. Chance for advancement for all hardworking individuals. I started as a Patternmaker, but within 6 months I was given the chance to work as foundry supervisor. I loved it, but decided to move Provence was the reason I left. 

this was by far the best company ive worked for, great group of guys that work there, started from spot welding to hydro testing finished items learned quite a bit here I wish I would have the opportunity to work with them again, they were going to apprentice me just before all the layoffs happened,
