Everyday there were different projects to work on.I learned many different machining methods to add to my skillset. My supervisor at the time was very supportive and would help me to complete the work that was expected of me. The shop manager on the other hand had absolutely no idea of the manufacturing process and would constantly ask me when projects would be finished and also rush me to complete those precise projects. The manager would also wait outside the bathroom for me and ask me what I was doing in there for so long. I got along with 90% of my coworkers and it was a positive environment in the shop. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the manager asking me 3 -10 times per day when the jobs would be completed & dealing with the Quality control department staff who did not know how to use measuring instruments. The most enjoyable part of the job was working on different conventional machines & completing many different precise parts. 

Typical day at work - dealing with sales on major quotes, account analysis, forecasting, GL reconciliations, supervising and mentoring staff.
Learned about: Blown film industry, Making capital equipment (machinery, Controllership, banking relationships, export sales, make-to-order,  L/C's, foreign exchange contracts for hedging, accounting for multiple currencies, SR&ED, dealing with auditors, entrepreneurial business environment.Excel, word and other software
Management: Member of management team. 
Co-workers: Dedicated, knowledgeable in industry

Great place to work, management was awesome, so we're the co-workers,could not ask for better running extrusion lines built by the emoloyees there. Things slowed down from cancelled or late orders by customers, they had to let some go. They got bought out several months after I left, all the best to them.

Fast paced, highly technical projects with travels to customers on different continents. Highly challenging, every job different from other, therefore, very rewarding. Good people to work with, good team work environment. I really enjoyed working there and would go back anytime if opportunity arises. 

Friendly work environment.  Our duties and expectations were clearly laid out to us.  Management was productive but friendly.  The hardest part of the job was when  was assumed that I knew something that I didn't.  The most enjoyable part was just doing what we were paid to do without any unnecessary interruptions.

while being at work on time is a good idea, a more flexible environment would be better for moral. Engineering managers are more like prison guards than team leaders.

Brampton engineering a place where there is a lot of opportunity learn, a good starting base.Most of the staff is helpful and supportive. The management will support you to improve on your skills.
