This is by far the worst company I have had the displeasure to work for. The management team (or some of them at least) are extremely  unorganized and fail to communicate properly with their team.

First issue, after already showing up to the scheduled location with all my marketing material (all very heavy boxes) the manager told me after the shift started (almost 20mins into the shift) that he "forgot to mention" to us the client requested the activation to be done at another location. And since all the marketing material was sent to our homes we had to move everything back and forth due to his lack of communication. 

Second issue, I had to (and still am) chasing down my paycheque from them and have had to deal with multiple different people who keep giving me the run around about why I haven't received my payment yet. Their favourite line is telling you to wait another couple of days for it to come and will not actually direct you to a supervisor unless you are very, very persistent. Until now I have still not received this paycheque that was apparently mailed out to me two weeks ago and although I provided them with my direct deposit form a month in advance, I am told different stories from different people from the management team as to what happened with it (in one version they never got it, in another version the document file was corrupt). 

They do not offer email transfer and have a very unreliable mail and direct deposit system. They are very comfortable with having you as an employee wait over a week for your paycheque and will offer you no solutions unless you tell them you will escalate it further. 

Overall, I am warning you Brand Momentum is the worst company I have ever worked for and I encourage you to find another more reliable company even if it's just for a short-term contract. You will definitely regret working for these people!!

I've been fortunate to have been working on Brand Momentum for more than 3 years in various roles.

I worked as a Sales Representative in Calgary in 2024. My experience with Brand Momentum Inc. was disappointing overall.

The role was marketed as a growth opportunity, but in reality, it involved long hours with minimal compensation. The pay structure is largely commission-based, with unclear expectations and very little support from management. Despite putting in considerable effort, many employees find themselves struggling to meet targets or earn a livable income.

Training was basic and didn’t equip me to succeed in the field. There was a lot of emphasis on appearance and presentation, but not enough on actual sales development or skill-building. Morale among team members was low, and turnover was extremely high — most people didn’t stay long.

If you’re looking for short-term experience in sales or marketing, it might be useful. But if you're seeking stability, professional growth, or fair compensation, I’d recommend looking elsewhere..

The job was advertised as merchandiser but was really a sales job. They always pushed getting a purchase order. The management team I dealt with were nice people but out of touch with reality. They expected people to travel around the city (some days 100+ kms) without any mileage compensation. The starting pay was more then minimum wage but without mileage compensation this rate was cut in half because of the cost of gas. There is very little room for advancement. Every pay was short. They blamed the ‘system’ they used. Pay problems were quickly resolved however it became tedious. It’s a great job for someone looking to get out of the house for a few hours a week. If you are trying to support yourself this is not the company.

This is a company that I would recommend to anyone.  When you do have steady work the supervisors/account managers care, are very dedicated to meeting and understanding all your needs to get the job done to the clients needs.  They understand the balance between work and home. Don't get me wrong, the job needs to be done and over and beyond what needs to be done.  Not because they demand it but because you feel proud to work for them and that seems the least you can do.  When you walk into a store representing them you do it with pride knowing and they have your back.

Assigned one store but can have other assignments added.
My job was physically demanding and was not advised in the interview process.
Was asked if I could lift 30lbs but did not say it was consistent for the entire shift.
Allotted only so many hours to complete an assignment, very poor hourly wage $18.55 for the demands of the job.
Adhere to a planogram set be BMI but the retail store has the final say and move product around.
Wasn’t advised there were issues coming on board - third person in that role from April - left in August 2024 after 6 grueling weeks.

A typical day working for Brand Momentum always brought a new challenge. Working with new products gave me insight on what customers thing of new and different products in the marketplace.

  They provided me with a great set of co-workers with positive attitudes and support. Then hardest part of the job was being able to condense a wide array of knowledge of a particular product into a nice understandable package for the customer in a short amount of time.

  What I enjoyed most about the job was the fact that I had a challenge everyday to overcome, this kept me interested and focused.

Hired as a independent contractor but am told when to be in stores and have to clock in and out.
No control over orders as management places them for you without knowledge and you take the flack from store managers.
No benefits, no employment security or employee protection standards.
Day starts at 7am Monday Wednesday and Friday with 15 hours allocated per week. Don't be surprised when managers are calling you outside of these hours and expecting you to drop everything and respond to there demands.

The independence given and the support there when needed. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
At times working on there programs not always user friendly. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is good, can reach out if questions or help is needed, otherwise you do your thing, get your job done with pride. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Complete all calls, execute all priorities, communicate with stores, set up and make all displays look flawless.

When I was interviewed they mentioned that I would be able to choose my own schedule then they gave me solid strict schedule. It was a complete lie and waste of time. If I’m not in my store by 9/10 on the days they want me there. I get spammed with phone calls and threats that they are looking for my replacement.
