-A typical day at work is seating your table, asking about drinks, telling them about the specials for the evening, bringing them bread, taking their order, bringing their food, tending to anything the customer needs, while taking up to 6 more tables, sometimes on the patio, beautiful scenery, great location, awesome facilities. 
-I learned how to be a good server, how to tend to customers, ensure a great experience, all while staying very professional and having fun
-Management was great, always solved any issues brought to their attention and very easy to get along with 
-The workplace culture was great, sometimes stressful but theres always a helping hand 
-The hardest part of the job was the fast-pace, some nights you were just going for hours and all of a sudden the day is over and you can go home and relax, definitely a busy place 
-The most enjoyable part of the job was the cheap but amazing food and creating relationships with members and their guests

A typical day at work starts with lunch service, preparing for functions further into the week, preparing for dinner service, dinner/function service and finally clean up and close. I've learned over the years that the harder you work the more respect you get. Management at the Brantford Golf and Country Club is will get on your case if you are not working hard, but for the most part are very good employers. The hardest part of my job is when the dinner service starts at the same time as a function, meaning I have to balance both service for the dinning room and the banquet hall. The most enjoyable part of my job is the free meals.

What is the best part of working at the company?
For a Country Club, they are very cheap in paying their employees. They keep taking away benefits and nickel and dime employees for everything.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Seeing great employees leave because of pay/ no longer any benefits and lack or appreciation.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Most of the members are great. The politics are frustrating 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I just do my job I like and try to avoid all the nonsense going on around me

A typical day at work is usually setting the tables for wedding functions. Also, being able to serve guests and members in a positive manner.
I've learned and maintained many skills, such as customer service, speed of service, table setting, and communication skills.
The management team is a pleasant team to work with, including co-workers.
The hardest part of the job is the intensity involved in some of the planning.
The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to serve fun functions, such as weddings.

Grounds staff treated differently and unfairly than all other staff. Managers fired about 12 students each summer (most were great workers) with no cause, likely to cut hours and preserve the budget for their pockets. Big power tripping managers and lots of labour law violations here. Way too many miserable managers doing very little consuming the club’s funds trying to micromanage. Decent pay for the work done but would not recommend unless new management comes in to support a better morale. 

Great place to work in the summer, but winters are long and boring. A lot of money to be made as a server. Its a private dining room (members only) which makes for a unique opportunity to really make relationships with a lot of regulars. But there is no avoiding the bad members, of which there are quite a few. Overall though, its a fun work environment with good people and beautiful views.

Fun and friendly atmosphere  makes time go quicker

things are very organized here which is great to work with. A mandatory gratuity is also added on to the bills but its only 10 percent so members don't often leave additional tips . there isn't very much money to be made here as it deals with a chit system hardly ever cash/debt.

Working for the Brantford Golf and Country Club was a great experience. The best part of the job was being able to interact with the members of the club who come from a variety of areas. Not only was it rewarding to work for a prestigious golf course, it was rewarding to be able to give the members and customers of the course a welcoming experience.

Well it was a good experience, I met a lot of great people who were all willing to work together. However, the members sometimes tend to treat you as lower than them, as they are spending thousands of dollars per year for their memberships.
