Ever since starting my career at Brendan Wood International I was given the opportunity to learn the capital markets business not only from the partners at the firm but by having access to the brightest capital markets professionals around the world. Through BWI's core products I've had the opportunity to connect with and have real discussion with the most deal active CEOs, CFOs and heads of Corporate Development across the world along with the most sought after sell-side professionals covering those companies and the investors who own those stocks. From early on I was directly involved in client delivery and able to connect personally with BWIs most senior clients. It has been a great learn by doing, not by watching, experience.

I am interning at Brendan Wood International and so far have had an amazing experience. The people at the company are very helpful and want to help you learn and contribute to big conversations. I am pushed to work my way up and contribute to projects of all different sizes. Despite being an intern I am treated like a senior management head. Through my work at this company I am able to talk to very powerful people and very powerful companies and gain massive amounts of insight into different sectors.

You learn a lot very quickly. The team is like a family. They actually care about each other. Everyone in the office has the same mindset. You get to speak with some of the most intelligent individuals in the capital markets around the world. You become a sector expert really quickly and you become the "go-to" individual for intelligence for these professionals. Everyone at the firm is in a different sector.

There is a formal training program when you start. You learn the capital markets quickly. The management team shares a lot of past experiences and helps with any problems.

In my many years working there I learnt so much about asset management, investment banking, capital markets, and the issues facing the world's top CEOs. 

The intelligence collected is unmatched by anyone. As an employee you help collect this data, and ultimately present it to, and advise, the world's largest investors, and the executives running leading investment banks and companies. 

The culture is fast-paced and hard-working, but this is rewarded both in the learning curve and financially.

During my time with the Brendan Wood International, I developed close relationships with management and my other coworkers. I also learned a lot about the capital markets, equities, consulting, and finance in general. Would recommend if you are interested in kick-starting a career in finance and/or consulting.

An excellent organization structured to provide institutional and equity groups in depth analysis of shareholders insight to boards, Chairs, CEO and company performance

Stay away from this place. You work as an independent contractor with no salary and benefits, in a dog eat dog environment. There are plenty of better placed to work.
