Disclaimer, I was an Order Picker in BDL with a lot of experience*

If you join as a picker, this job better not be your primary income source or you will starve.

You have almost no chance of becoming a full timer unless you are willing to stick around for years on end and be happy with bare minimum until then.

Diversity is very important to them, except on the floor, then it can be 99% men.

Equipment used is old and not maintained well, facility is basic as it gets, there are on job perks whatsoever and no worker appreciation in any form. They have water, that is all you will get.

Beside summertime you will never get 40 hours a week, in peak winter you will be getting 0 hours. 

As a "part time" picker, you a there to fill in the ranks for full timers and get nothing out of it, you will be wasting time on very low paying job for an ungrateful company filled with overpaid pen pushers aka Supervisors as they blame you for all the problems while you constantly work for 7.5 hours with only one half an hour break.

Supervisors are there, I don't understand their purpose, an automated program can replace them while Lead Hand can fill in their job on the floor.

In short, its a a bad place to work with no future and low pay and low hours.

It is best to avoid this place at all costs 


Was an Operations Supervisor at BDL.  The only reason they call you a "supervisor"  is so you can operate a machine that the Union workers are not allowed to touch.

How somebody has not lost their life at this place is a miracle. Please stay away from this place if you value your life, safety, wellbeing, mental health.

When I was hired I was told the Union workers were very toxic.....turned out to be the exact opposite.  I found the Union members to be very professional and dedicated.

On the other hand upper managment constantly blames everyone for productivity issues.  They have let something like 80 supervisors go in the last 10 years.

The Beer Store is the parent company and has no idea what goes on there.

Do NOT work for this company.

By the way,  throwing a bunch of pizzas on a desk in the lunchroom at Christmas time is not a Christmas party.  

Good riddens

A typical day starts with preparing the days deliveries. Then shipping them in a prompt and timely mannor. I learned great time management skills, multi tasking, and how to use limited space for maxium effect. Also learned how to get others to work to the betterment of production, based on their individual strengths. Management took a more hands off way to run the daily work, but kept up production by constantly raising the bar. My co-workers were all hard working people, of different temperments. The hardest part of the job was meeting the nearly imposible deadlines for deliveries. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was bringing order to a chaotic situation. I also enjoyed beating the nearly imposible deadlines set for deliveries.

Brewers Distributors Ltd(BDL) is famous company which makes Beer at the city of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada.I is leading Company to any other Company the city of The Winnipeg city,Manitoba, Canada.The Company gives wage salary regularly .It is manufacturing company which provides good manufacture and practices. There are many people works in this company and they organize  their families. I like this company because it is Manufacturing company.The environment of the compny over all the best.They ensure there quality ,quantity, ingredients,and date of expere.I like this company to do works and take career build up.Salary of this company  also good packaging which makes increas to eager to do works labour's. 
 


Just a wastage of time to work @ BDL Winnipeg for the picker job, where there is no job security. No benefits, no hike in salary, no paid vacation, no incentive, no overtime for pickers. Unionized company but the union doesn't care about the picker employee. Just the drivers enjoy and are well taken care off. Picker can be fired at anytime even just a week before the completion of their probation. Stay away from this company. Many facts are hide at the time of hiring by this company. Picker is the hardest job but unfortunately they are the ones not good paid. Total exploitation of pickers called as seasonal temp. Do not push yourself into dark or wasting your time by joining this company. Rest is your decision. 

Discriminatory place. No equal pay for same work. Pickers are hired as a part timer. Even after completing probation they will remain forever part timer without benefits. They get paid lowest in the warehouse. No work life balance no fixed schedule. Not a single paid sick day, family day, and vacation. You are being watched continuously electronically and physically by supervisors. Have seen people working more then 10 years without benefits.

The place is infested with fake people. Pretending to be competitive, serious, but open workplace, where the well-being of employees comes first. That's the flag management claims to serve. Yet, the reality is much different. From open racism, misogyny, classism, bullying, intimidation.
Brewers distributor limited is crumbling fast

This union warehouse used to be a good job. If you're just starting be prepared to only work 1-2 shifts per week (graveyard and random shifts). 
Workplace culture is toxic in the worst ways possible. Feels like going to prison for 10 hours a day. Jobs are boring and extremely hard on the body.

With the toxic negative attitude work environment, over worked and under paid supervisors, coworkers who stab you in the back this establishment is an awful place. BDHell is what they call it. 
Don’t waste your time, keep looking. You can do better than this place.

Brewers Was A great job i really liked it there but the new higher ups need to follow the rules and give people second chances if i had a chance i would go back but i dont think that will happen they need to get some better people skills over there
