Bridges definitely does a good job helping kids and supporting families. They care about the families they support but as a staff it is hard. There is little support for staff, management is un-reachable and can take several attempts to get ahold of. Hours can be long and there is no consistency to the amount of hours. If you find yourself overwhelmed and needing time off, it’s hard to get someone to cover. If you are working to much and want less hours it’s hard to slightly reduce hours. The families are great, some take advantage of having a staff in the house and can be hard to deal with. Management Cares but isn’t in the program building enough to know what’s going on. Staff gossip and don’t pay attention. Cleaning is hardly done except by a handful of staff who often stay late to do it. A certain program lead needs to be reminded of her job and that swearing at a 10 year old for not being able to afford to bring a snack from home is not okay 

I would avoid working here. They do not offer any relevant training to staff, its definitely a figure it out as you go and hope your not wrong. I have scars from some of the kids. There is not enough experienced staff to deal with the level of severe behaviour kids and other staff aren't being trained because they don't have enough people to be able to train them. Management is non-existent and do not advocate on behalf of there staff when parents are being straight up abusive to staff. Management also plays favorites and changes policy's to work in their favor. ( like suddenly not requiring some form of post secondary to be able to qualify for a Leader/lower management position) The theory behind bridges is great but they grew to fast and are failing now.

Was appauld by the amount of staff drama that went on, staff constantly bullying other staff behind their backs as well as kids. Not recommending you send your child here. Staff spend small amount of time on group work  after kids have had unstructured free play while staff gossip. Management picks favorites and if you aren't one of them good luck. Cranky old lady and a Know it all who swears at children think they run the place. Program supervisor was hardly around or constantly late. Single out kids and ship them into home programs because they are too much for others children to see. Not a great environment. I often felt bad for these children because they have no idea what the staff say about them.

I have had the pleasure of working with Bridges Consulting and have been thoroughly impressed. Their focus on family values and ABA therapy is evident in the care they provide to their clients. Although there have been instances of staff drama, the overall atmosphere feels like one big family. The kids I have had the opportunity to work with have brought joy to my day on a daily basis. Despite the challenging nature of the work, the rewards far outweigh the difficulties. The only downside is the underpaying, which is a result of government funding limitations. However, management has greatly improved in their approachability and willingness to listen to feedback. Overall, I highly recommend Bridges for anyone in the field of helping children with disabilities

Typical Day: First you are assigned up to three kids or less when you walk in the door. Until the child arrives you must do light cleaning and data entry. Then you watch the child and reward them for completing goals and having good behavior. When they leave you proceed to clean until the end of your shift.
Management: Lots of errors and miscommunications.
The hardest part of the job is dealing with over the top tantrums and miscommunications
The most enjoyable part of the job is watching the kids learn and grow and knowing that you helped them achieve that.

The company is not managed well. Most of the time you get your schedule Sunday night if you get on the schedule. Most of the time they mess up the schedule one way or another, needing to fix it, requiring multiple emails to be sent out throughout the week. It’s frustrating and hard to keep track of my own hours. That and the pay is not worth it for the amount of work you do. The lack of training is not ok as well. Lots of the staff sit around looking up into LaLa land since they don’t know what to do.

Learning about your self and being able to take home what you teach to kids and use it in your own life

Being responsibl for children that arnt always predictable

Diverse with meany different people with all kinds of story’s

I don’t think there is a typical day

The kids are fun and exciting, and the staff have a really good bond and it feels like a family there. 
but the pay doesn't seem worth it somedays. the schedules were also sent out Sunday night most weeks and schedules are only for that week 

I love working for them, they are very understanding and flexible when needed.

Their mission is one I stand behind as both my children have disabilities and working with them has helped me gain skills i can use to help my own children and family. 

Working here is great experience for those interested in helping those in needs, I believe there should be more training to staff and some staff should definitely follow proper procedures that are taught in training. Friendly coworkers just poor organization
