Brighter Mechanical

Was a great company to work for when I worked there years ago. Management cared about employees and often did extracurricular activities (white water rafting, paintball, BC lions games just to name a few). Pay is below average but the work was fairly easy, so it's fair. Biggest downside was the work is repetitive, and is only dealing with waterpipe 99% of the time (this is from a plumbers perspective). It was extremely difficult for myself to catch my plumbing skills up to where they should be for a journeyman as I did my whole apprenticeship with Brighter. If you want to be a well rounded plumber with skills in drainage, venting, hydronics, service, then don't work here. You looking for a steady paycheque with easy work, then apply here.

I have worked for Brighter for several years and am grateful to be part of such an amazing team. My coworkers are definitely one of the best parts of working for Brighter. The culture at work values creativity, growth, and working together. We have "the Brighter way" of doing things which ensures we are proud of our workplace and the work we do. Brighter also emphasizes spending time with your friends/family by hosting events throughout the year (such as days at the aquarium or Playland) and often extending holiday weekends from 3 days to 4, giving us a little more time with ourselves or loved ones. Our holiday parties are also a hit each year. I look forward to more fun experiences and opportunities for growth working at Brighter. 

I have been working at Brighter for over six years now. I really appreciate the foremen and how supportive they are in the field. I also appreciate the senior guys who help out with resident issues that can be challenging. I also really like that we work indoors, the work is stable and the company events are fun. And the office team is really helpful too. 

Great culture, great employees who encourage growth. Primarily promote internally which is a huge plus. Assist apprentices with school payment upon completion. Moving up in the company is up to you and how successful you are with the work you do. 

I have worked at Brighter Mechanical for over a decade and it has been a great company to be a part of. They understand work life balance and care about their employees. Great culture and support amongst  the office and  management team that carries over to the foremen and their crews. Ongoing support and training is provided and they have some really fun company events throughout the year.  





typical day at work was waking up at 4:30 am, sky training 2.5 hours to get to work started at 7:30 am, worked in different suites. I learned a lot by them as it was my first dry walling job. My management was good, was able to work by myself and keep a nice clean work area. I enjoyed pretty much everything. Hardest part of my job was the transportation as I didn't have a vehicle at the time.

I have worked at Brighter Mechanical for over 10 years and really enjoy the team. The Company does high quality work that I am proud of and enjoy working beside my co-workers. The company does a lot of fun events throughout the year such as fishing trips, events for family members, and a Christmas party with a bunch of gifts and prizes. Overall it is a fun place to work.

Bonuses are an absolute joke. As a former employee the bonuses were constantly brought up as "part of your wage" and that was one of the reasons for lower pay. In reality in 4 years my total bonus were under $300 which is hardly enough to compensate for lower pay.  Well below the average pay in industry.

It is more than one year that I have been with Brighter Mechanical, and I have truly enjoyed every day of my work here. Supportive managers, great co-workers, positive attitudes, and open communication are some of the great characteristics of this company.  

Brighter Mechanical is a workplace where employees feel valued and connected. 

Long time employee, never been out of work. Consistent pace, not overly difficult, and lots of room to grow in company. Brighter trains employees in multiple trades for company vaule, and to keep employees engaged and learning whole scope of their vision and goals. Great job, consistent work, and relaxed environment. Would reccomend to any trade at any stage of career.
