I have worked at Britespan Buildings for 8 years now, and i couldn't be happier to a part of this great company. Lots of opportunities for growth within the company, the leadership team is very supportive and they always make sure their employees have all the proper training and resources to do the job properly and safely. The employees are very positive and supportive group, and are always willing to help each other out, which makes for a very comfortable work environment. Also the company does the little thing most companies don't, like company BBQ, Gift Cards for your birthday, employee appreciation days like a day of golf. I would highly recommend a job at Britespan to anyone.       


   

I have been with Britespan for five years and was one of my best career decisions. Owners truly care about their staff, managers work to support one another and all team members support one another. Bonuses annually, bbq celebrations and recognition gift cards and gifts common practice. Job security with being recognized as one of Canada’s fast growing companies six years running!

I enjoy working with my fellow team members on a daily basis.  We all feel accomplishment when solving challenging problems on our own and as a team.
Our management team is very supportive in making sure we have the resources needed to complete our work effectively.  
I feel like Britespan has a very fair wage structure and a great benefit and RRSP plan.
Working for a rapidly growing company makes me feel financially secure.

Old rundown machinery that you can't get a full shift of production out of. Want a raise? Hit production targets... which is impossible with the equipment provided. The air quality is terrible as the ventilation systems do not get the maintenance they require. Smoke out systems for plasma cutting equipment are there... however they don't work at all. If you don't mind constant headaches and complaints being ignored, this is the place to be.

Management, favoritism, partiality, dirty politics and toxic work culture

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poorly managed, managers and bosses lack project management and people skills.

A progressively growing company, with a vision for the future and a path to reach that vision. People are not micromanaged. Ownership truly cares about the employees, opinions matter!
A relatively relaxed atmosphere which encourages people to work together and help each other 

I have worked for Britespan for about 1.5 years, and have been very happy.  There have been several opportunities for advancement as the company continues to grow and be successful.

If you want to work with a great group of positive managers/supervisors and employees, than I would suggest applying for a position at Britespan Buildings.

Lots of opportunities to constantly learn and grow; never stagnant in your position. With everything on one site it’s easy to develop close-nit, personal relationships with opportunities to interact, participate in weekly meetings and people know you by name. The company events are also fun.

The company produces steel structured fabric buildings and on a typical day I would run a tele-handler, stock the yard, organize the yard, as well as load/unload trucks. I also conduct quality control checks prior to loading to ensure they get the best and safest product. I ensure the loads are secure before the trucks are able to leave the yard.
