 The shift is always at night as their flight from Canada leaves in the evenings only, so be prepared to forgo any night life you had planned. Its difficult to get weekends off, as no one wants to work a Friday or Saturday night for you.The shifts are 4 hours as they hire only part-time people (it costs them less to do that as they don't have to pay as much in the way of benefits). On the upside are the flight benefits after 6 months of employment.They are deeply discounted and this job attracts people from countries like India, because they can fly home every year very cheaply.The managers favour some people over others,especially if they have an attraction towards them.Of course this is totally unfair but this is life at the airlines,unfortunately.Be prepared to work under conditions of harassment (both sexual and verbal) as it does exist here. They do follow up on complaints but are not proactive in stopping a problem before it starts.Many of the managers are overworked, as the airline cuts back on staff to make more money for themselves. So managers are not readily available when you need them, hence the customer is the one who suffers, and it leaves you to face the angry customer.

as a food service place (vip lounge at the airport) for this company I was expecting  high level of service as well high standards of performance ;  service we provide  is alright, safe, friendly,  just not highly professional... Training was chaotic, lacked structure and expectations are still vague and poorly communicated.  There are lot of ambiguity in relation between the Company, Manager and Myself... The team is doing everything they can to keep up with more and more tasks that are placed upon them (like paperwork, variety of cleaning task, in my opinion, some belonging to the janitors)  - Hardest part; not enough team members on the floor to provide proper VIP  service!   Other then that, I love the relation with guests/passengers, team.  Clearer communications about expectations right form the start, more structured (individually conducted/buddy program at the beginning )  training, more one on one progression planning for each member, forming personal goals -  that would definitely help perform better.

What is the best part of working at the company?
After 33years of service , at British Airways I felt Safe and secure, they really looked after me through all that life throws in your path. I earned great money and have very healthy pension to look after me in the future. I was very sad to leave BA I loved my job and lifestyle. Unfortunately family comes first I had to leave to look after my lovely mum.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Intense safety training that is essential to be the safest airline in the world. The briefings I had to do before flights to ensure my crew were update with all aspects of safety and emergency procedures.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very inclusive accepted every creed, sexuality and gender. Encourage people to be proud to be themselves.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day was different and working with amazing , different and diverse people I loved.

Excellent training program which prepared me to fit into multiple departments at British Airways. Typical day would include receiving calls from potential travellers to purchase standard round trip tickets as well as very detailed multi-city, multi-continent extensive travel arrangements. Very busy office, also handled baggage inquiries, made arrangements for live cargo transport, handled special group bookings. When given the opportunity to work at the airport, assisted with the handling of passengers with special needs to and from the aircraft, checking passengers and their luggage in at the ticket counter. In baggage services - processed claims for lost and/or damaged luggage.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Meeting tight deadlines before the course closure and getting their airside passes ready. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Excellent. Very diverse. Very friendly team, great management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very hectic but enjoyable.  Getting to meet different teams and collaboration is the key in this department.

Actually I just work at the British Airway private Lounage which run by another company! Working there with small group of people and serving the passengers with what they need before their long flight, Passengers are usually nice and they respect our job , we tried our best to make them comfortable and feel like they were home , we have only 1 checkin agent from British Airway they are nice friendly people and professional well trained.

It was my first job as a new immigrant.  Given that it was a call center there was no work-life balance with virtually no opportunities to grow.  Salary was very very poor and while there were a lot of airline benefits offered, one couldn't exercise their benefits for poor pay and very little time-off offered at the job.

An admin support role working within a team and at times alone to deliver resources for business needs.
Fast paced at times in order to meet deadlines due to disruption eg Weather, equipment failure.
The best part of my job was my team around me. It was a supportive caring team who were always there for me, and each other, during stressful times and relaxed times.

Very difficult company to work , micro management kills all the experienced aircraft engineers , plus the division between the english and foreigners , i wouldnt  recommend this company for experienced engineers , even after several years of duty they trying to get a rid of you with the worst way .
