Where to start.. Incompetent management underpaying the employees to work a very high paced environment. No clear shift organization. Shifts get changed last minute.. No real training just giving a booklet to memorize thats outdated and changed.  They will put you in a "team" environment thats nowhere close to fair.. There's disgruntled and unprofessional co-workers looking to cause problems for you even if you do fit in. Too many skeleton crew that should have moved onto something better but never did. Most act like there they run things when they're really racists who mostly cook burgers from frozen and work fryers :p. Most wouldn't recognize a good chef if they seen one. Oh and they will make it seem like your cooking decent food. But its cheap. Cheap to aquire and cheap quality mostly. Frozen or precooked and bagged and frozen.. Too bad really.. I thought this would have been a great opportunity. I worked there for just over a month and they still couldnt even order the right uniform. Very poor organization between management and an extreme waste of time. If your looking to grow as a chef or build on your skills stay clear of this shenanigans. I didnt even see my coworkers wash there hands like ever..

I have experienced nothing other than unpleasantness with this particular company.  I enjoy food service but this was just not my cup of tea so to speak.Quite a disappointing enviroment and not what I was hoping for.

The management rules with an iron fist and that becomes quite evident early on.  Their way or no way.  They accept little to no imput from employees who are better versed and able to give more realistic information.  If you want to be valued as an employee I would rethink applying here.

Pay scale is adequate but not great.  Most positions are for minimum wage.  Dont expect any sort of perks.  There benefits are a rip off if you even qualifyed.  Very very costly for what you actually get.  

If you are hoping for advancement you will not find it here.  Poor moral is the daily menu which is unfortunate.  Some coworkers are okay but most are only there for the pay check and don't care about anything else.  Very unfortunately.

The worst part of the job is the training or more to the point, lack of.  Time and time again i have seen new people thrown in to sink or swim which is unfair treatment.  It takes time to build good people if you want success.

Suitable as a stepping stone job if you are aspiring to managerment in the industry. The basics can be learned in a position with this company but do not expect to advance. Most do realize this and move on.
Expectations are to high for supervisor and manager positions.  You must handle all kitchen and cooking skills and do mountains of paper work on top of this.  Unrealistic at the best of days even for some one good with managing time.  The operation of the food service must come first so everything else goes by the way side.
The environment is negative most of the time.  Poor wages and unfillfilling work are the major reasons.  It is a hard industry to get excited about but if  you are in need of work their is a good probably that you can get hired.
Some employees are good workers and pleasant to be around.So you have to take the good with the bad and figure out what will work out best for your individuall situations.

I have never seen such a poorly managed company in all my years working in catering.  The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and as much as they claim to be a "family" I would tend to disagree.  Disfunctional family at best.

Suggestions by staff for areas needing improvement or change are not taken seriously and instead are then viewed as being insubordinate which is quite discouraging.  Not all ideas are great ones and need to be implimented but kind consideration would go a long way to fostering a more cohesive environment.

Overall the events aren't bad to work at.  Do not expect alot of hours or you will be disappointed.  There are times when you will be offered more shifts but as a whole it is only very part-time employment.  Alot of evening work.  Nice if you are just looking for a little bit of xtra pocket money.

A typical day is full of all of the tasks that senior employees do not want to do so as a newly hired worker you get the tedious jobs.Understandable to a point but how could a new person learn if they never get to do other jobs.  Too lazy to take the time to properly train and give new workers a chance.

Management can be nice when they want to be but can turn a blind eye to other things that need to be dealt with.  Depends who you are and what the mood of the day is.  Alot of pass the buck when it comes to dealing with problems so not greatest at getting solutions.

The food servise industry is a tough one.  Fast pace most of the time.  Sometimes there is no times for breaks.  Little or no down time so the shifts do go bye quickly.

Most enjoyable part of this job is some of the customers who make you smile.  They make up for the one that are demanding and treat you like you are a servent.  Overall not bad for someone looking for a little job experience to get something on a reseme.

Unfair management puts an overload of work on some but not on others. 
Overall not feeling respected, very bad communication, and alot of interpersonal issues go unresolved.
People dont stay there long because of the lack of respect and the overload of work due to the cutting in staff. Moral is poor and I found that most people were not committed to the job and didn't care about calling in or not showing up on time for shift.  Very frustrating when this is not dealt with.
Not sure why but there seemed to be alot of gossiping and backstabbing going on in this work invironment.  Sadly, was not addressed by anybody that could have the position to make a change or fix it.  
They are always looking for employees so it is not difficult to get hired with this company.  Entry level positions at minimum wage only.  
Not bad if you can tollerate the drama and just try to ignore it.

Hours were good until they suddenly lay you off without warning.
I was constantly overworked and under appreciated.
Any attempt to explain to my managers that what they were asking of me was a struggle and often impossible was shot down and ignored.
Management refused to allow me to use them as a reference even after I put in hours of hard work and effort.
Cranky old women will throw you under the bus and blame you for their own mistakes.
I was often left to close the restaurant and serve coffee, while baking and cleaning ovens on busy Friday nights, and any attempt to share concerns with my manager was dismissed and ignored.

Overall I would not recommend wasting your time with Browns. They are a scummy company that will use you up and spit you out without so much as a thank you.

This company wants to fit in with the elite, high end catering companys but does not measure up.  Poor management with no idea how to treat people or run a business.  

Do not expect to work alot of shifts if hired.  There are to many employees for events so shifts are few and far between, especially given the number of weekly events which are not many.  Unless you are able to get hired in a full time position it is not worth you while because you will need to work multiple other jobs to put together one full time job.  Hard to manage so many scheduls and most companies frown on working around jobs.

Pay is not great and tips are not handled fairly in my opinion.  Pretty sure I didn't get my fair share which is disappointing given a minimum wage main position.

Somewhat disappointing the way I was treated as a employee.  Had high hopes and was led to believe advancement was a real possibility.  Liked the work but not the enviroment I worked in.  The job was easy to get but could be because there always hiring for positions.  Seems like people don’t stick around because the pay is low in comparison or a better opportunity comes along.

The worst part of the job is having to follow the ways of some long timers that seem to rule the roost.  Not willing to accept anything other than the same old way of doing things - their way.  Management condones this behaviour.

Might be okay company to work for if looking for part time hours. Do not expect full time or benefit plan. Good way to get experiences to build up your resume though.
