I have been employed with CRMR for 4 years and can't say enough about the owners and the team of professionals I have had the opportunity to work with. Everyone is fantastic! The position is challenging and I feel supported every step of the way. As a manager, I feel empowered to make decisions and am always pushed to do my best and trusted. I highly recommend CRMR as a work-place and hope to retire here if all continues to go well. I have worked for major multinational corporations and they have nothing on CRMR! Additionally, all the investments owners are making to ensure the properties are upgraded are truly appreciated and the direction the company is going embraced very passionately by everyone on the team.

when i first started they did not even know they had people new starting then they had no training just threw me in the deep end and told me to figure it out....

Management i could be here for days explaining how bad they are but, they are so bad don't care about your wellbeing they so that you're doing great then when you have a review, they tell your how bad you work and give you a 30cent raise. They also start hiring their friends and make up management poisons and push out the other mangers that they aren't friends with. When we had no manager for 7months of the year and when we do call the manger, they don't call us back until 3days after the incent has happened.

They do have great housing small but good to meet people but don't work here at all go somewhere else. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
If you can handle constant change with new managers in all departments and very frequent staff turnover then go for it. Decent place to work if your just in it for a short while. They say its family orientated but in the end you are just a number filling a role until you are ready to move on or are no longer needed.

Culture is decent and so is the work environment

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
work lunch repeat, and keep doing it until you wear out.

A typical day begins around 9.45 am, the first thing to do is take a car and then put the vacuum cleaner, a bucket for ashes , chips for lighting fires and daily replacement items such as soap , shampoo , cream , coffee , tea, etc. and the three cleaning liquids, bathroom, mirrors, and multifunctional.
Then we took our list of rooms we have to clean , giving priority to due out (check out). the hardest part of the job is having to carry too many objects from one room to another , mainly objects to clean chimneys.
Many colleagues are very nice, however there is a small group that are unpleasant . It is also important to note that supervisors steal us tips, main reason that I would like to change my job.

My time working at BML was alright, for the first two weeks. After that it seemed as if the Sous Chef Currently has a lot of made up relationships with servers in the lodge, if you even talk hangout or look there way you instantly have issues with him. He’s sat there and bashed me to the bar, preformed immature jokes while in service and I’ve seen him many times drink on the job, I really had an interest for the kitchen and menu it just sucks a 40 year old with self insecurities had to ruin that, otherwise pastas are good!

Cut the snakes head off from the top. Let’s just say the management isn’t great and show no gratitude to the line staff. 
The job itself is decent and the money is okay. Most of the people are friendly but it’s in no way a “professional” place. 
The staff accommodation manager is incompetent and cannot remember who is living where and with who and doesn’t know what’s going on most of the time it’s actually shocking. 
But if you’re looking for an easy job for a season then go for it.

I had such a great experience working with BML, everyone in different departments, treated each other with respect. Hotel manager just isn’t a manager, he made sure everyone was looked after from guests to workers. Made wonderful friendships, and felt apart of a family working with BML. Highly recommend working with BML.

I had soooo much fun serving at BML! I was able to meet tourists from around the world as I served them and learned a lot about the local culture & banff community. I was able to do wine courses with a sommelier to improve my knowledge, there was ongoing training and an incredibly supportive management team. I was sad to leave!

Its a family run company so its is not corporate at all.  Management is all pretty young

If you want the structure of a big hotel chains than it ts not for you.
Its pretty busy in the summer and you can make good money 

Its a fun place to work, everyone is pretty happy.  The kitchen was great, I got to learn a lot

The lodge manager runs the place like hes in 1925, he preys on the weak to do his bidding. He is a smiling assassin that focuses all his energy punishing the hardworking employees of the company. Whilst neglecting the insanely incompetent office staff that are really dragging the company down.
