Bulldog Bag can be a challenging place to work, especially because the workplace culture often feels toxic and stressful. Communication between staff and management is not always clear, and this can create confusion, frustration, and unnecessary pressure. While every company has room for improvement, Bulldog Bag would benefit greatly from stronger leadership, better employee support, and a more positive work culture. Overall, it may not be the best fit for someone looking for a supportive and respectful work environment

There's always work to do.  never a boring day

Not knowing at what moment  Top Management will backtrack on their word... or pull the rug from under you

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is a lot of tension since everyone seems to be on the lookout for where top management's direction will go.  this may alleviate in time, but not in the short run.  if you do your work you're fine.  but there is no latitude for lateral thinking.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
very busy,  very rewarding with the people there trying their best to make the day work out.

I began my administration career with Bulldog Bag back in 1988.  I wasn't supposed to get the position, but when the gal they hired didn't work out I was next in line.  It was difficult at first but the lady in the office was so patient and helpful.  In time I learned about the bag business and was able to form client relationships and increase my knowledge of business practices.  
I enjoyed working at Bulldog Bag Ltd and stayed until I was pregnant with my second child in 2001.  My husband and I decided to relocate to Alberta.  I know that if we had not made that decision I would still be employed with Bulldog Bag today.
The company is family owned and operated and are very caring.  To this day I still brag about them when I see a bag made by Bulldog Bag.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very good benefits. In house physiotherapy staffed by a registered physiotherapist.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Most stressful part about working at this company is the poor environment. Everyone is not on the same page.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment and culture is very bad. Not many employees seem to be very happy working at this company.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is very stressful with a lot of heavy lifting or pushing.

In my experience, the factory manager's leadership style was disrespectful and intimidating. The workplace culture appeared to encourage favoritism and workplace gossip, while accountability was applied inconsistently. I found it difficult to work in an environment where concerns were not addressed fairly. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a respectful and professional workplace.
But if you like to get bullied, go ahead!

I took this job out of necessity. I could no longer work in my field of study due to injury so had to find physical labour jobs instead. This fit the bill, paid ‘ok’ enough, but there are no bonuses, no room for advancement, and it’s a dead-end job. If you have any ambition in life, check it at the door and start your work shift here. 

I have worked here for several years now.  The people are great and the managers and supervisors are very supportive.  There is a great sense of community and purpose.  Many people have worked here for over 20 years and you don't get that if the company culture isn't great.  If you want a place to feel like a part of team then this is the place to work.  

This company was great to start but they laid me off because they lost a big contract of which was not good timing for me as an employee. They were very good to me to let me leave for my uncle’s funeral. They seem to still have business because they are still there.

Im gonna stay whatever it is l love my job so far.you can learn a lot of things that you can apply in your life. Like you need to be disciplined and learn to be a good in terms by helping each other teamwork 

Nice work with company and Good staff and very good management from the CEO , Challenge at work and competition and Every day there is something, a challenge, knowledge and experience to learn
