I can’t thank bullitt staffing enough for the opportunity I was provided. I was placed at a camp job in Nunavut and soon after my first rotation was hired directly to the site. In their contract it states they would never hold any employee back from moving forward with their career, but bullitt provided the stepping stones for me to prosper and flourish. They basically held my hand through the entire process, criminal record check, medical and flight booking. Their staff was amazing by checking in with me during my rotation and after to ask how I was doing, and ask for feed back on the process with anything I could enlighten them for them to be better. I couldn’t think of one thing they needed to improve on and was more than impressed with how well run this company is. The wages are more than fair and extremely competitive for todays inflation in the cost of living. I couldn’t have been happier or paid better for the welding position I was placed in. Thank you !!

Well I had thought this would be a great place working at baffinland. These are the most inbred incompetent people I have ever met. Hands down. I had an issue with a broken seat in a 25 year old grader. I was told to lose weight by the maintenance supervisor. I’m 5’11 300 pounds. So yeah I know I could shed a few pounds but there was no need of saying that. I go home on days of come back and they said it was fixed. It wasn’t. I ran it for 2 shifts and then had a lot of pain and refused to run it. I got let go because of this. If you are going to work there you are not expected to work through your breaks but it may mean you keeping your job so......  my mine ops foreman had a grade 8 education (34 years old) and ran the job exactly like someone with a grade 8 mentality would. The full time baffinland employees on my shift would cut your throat in a heartbeat but the York guys were pretty nice. If you have no respect for yourself or others then this is the place for you. Peace 

York approached me to work as a mechanic with one of their clients in the Far North.  Everything sounded good when I spoke to them at first.......but.  

They are horribly disorganized at the office(Toronto) and you need to call and bug them for paperwork and explanations of the paperwork and anything else they should be providing up front.  They don't really take care of you as employee.  They also tend to bend the truth about compensation.  As an example, when they give you an hourly rate it includes your 2% vacation pay, but they make it seem like it's on top of your rate....which seems a little underhanded 

They also have a bad habit of not telling you the truth about where you are going and what the place is like.  But I guess if your client is sketchy why tell the truth about them.   All in all,  probably not the worst place to work, but you want to press them for the truth.

Working here has been a highly positive and rewarding experience. The environment is professional, supportive, and well-structured, which makes it easier to stay focused and perform at a high standard. I appreciate the strong teamwork and clear communication across all levels, which help ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. The workplace also promotes continuous learning and encourages employees to follow proper procedures and quality standards, which has helped me strengthen my technical and organizational skills. Overall, it is a place where I feel comfortable contributing my best effort while also developing professionally. The combination of a respectful work culture, clear expectations, and opportunities for growth makes it a very positive environment to work in.

Working remotely as a contractor for B2 has been great, 5am to 5pm shifts in the planning department. Learn new skills and cultures of the local community. Work place culture is also amazing, great people at the MLA site and many of them are there to help you get further experience and work up the ladder.   Food is great and rooms are okay. Laundry is done by the catering staff amazing service. 
Hardest part of the job is getting away from the desk cause you enjoy the work and the people around you. 
Most importantly the 3 x 3 shifts are great for work life balance. 

I’ve worked with york for 10 months. From the very beginning everyone was so easy to talk to and deal with. Someone was always available anytime I had questions or was confused about something and they were able to resolve the issue quick and if someone didn’t know something there was always another team member there to help out. I highly recommend York, it will be the best HR you’ve ever had to deal with. The pay is good! The LOA is very fair and if your missing anything on your pay check or per diem, you don’t have to wait till the next pay check to get your money. They always get your money to you right away! 

The hourly rate advertised includes stat. and vacation pay so it's not a true hourly rate. They try to make it appear like it's  competitive but, it's not. No benefits, no paid travel. The recruiter kept putting the dispatch date off, making excuses and obviously playing a favorite. Which in the end the favorite quit and left them scrambling. They try to make it seem like they are big deal but are not any different than any other staffing agency. They are themselves staffed with inexperienced recruiters who will try and tell you what they think you need to hear. In the end their clients suffer.

An enjoyable experience thus far, with senior staff that has been extremely supportive of both my professional and personal life. A group that has come together to help each other both inside and outside the office as life extends beyond your job title. York Search Group is a small firm located in the heart of the Distillery Historic District in Toronto, ON with a focus on Engineer and Construction recruitment and although the firm is small the group works well together and strives to continue to improve, learn and assist in each others progression.

York search group was more than helpful in all aspects from the moment I submitted a resume to the moment I became a full time employee at my new job. David, jenna, suja and megan were very friendly, professional and readily available for all inquiries I had. I hadn't walked into my new position un educated and in some instances they had went above and beyond to help me with travel. I cant say enough about how amazing it was to work for such a friendly and helpful company

Sent me there to drive triple 7 then tried force me to be a labourer when I refused.. I  never got signed off on none of the gear came home sent out 4 rotations to me canceled em all day before spose to go back..They had numourous jobs for haul trucks in bc and youkon wouldn't send me there kept saying ur going back to Baffinland when they knew I wasnt going back horrible management false hopes and dreams finally someone wrote me back said they don't want you back and site why because I wouldn't be a labourer I'd didnt apply for a labourer job applied for haul truck there a joke
