Typical day at work involved an early morning head start at preparing the golf course for play that day, staying out of the members way for the most part and just respecting the golf atmosphere which would include being aware of your surroundings while you're operating loud machines and driving carts around the course. 

Management at this job was very good and fun to work with. Good leadership skills between the management crew that led to establishing a great crew of co-workers.

Hardest part of this job would have to be working 12 days on and only having every other weekend off for my own time..

Most enjoyable part of this job would definitely be the environment that our crew creates every year between each other, it's very social and can be serious when needed.

My day usually started at 6am, and progressed to a very busy schedule, handling golfing events, special functions, weddings, promotions, etc. Scheduling of staff, invoicing, balancing end of day for all members. Re-ordering for next day according to events scheduling. Set up for next day for afternoon and evening staff. 

Definitely learned time management, first point of contact for all members of the club, handling requests on a daily basis, and the hardest part was dealing with complaints to the members satisfaction. Feeling in a large part the satisfaction of knowing my job was well done and accomplished.

The most enjoyable part of my job was of course the people I worked with on a daily basis, the members of the club, and I had the most incredible view anyone could wish for!

They advertise dishwashers for $18/Hr, which is a lie, they try to justify themselves by saying that it’s the starting pay during events such as weddings, customer appreciation, etc. Keep in mind most dishwashers make 14.50 or 15, not this place! It all depends who you are and what kind of connections you have with this dump. For example: One dishwasher was hired in may and two others in late june. Those 2 that were hired in june get the full time hours while the other person is getting less than 15 hours a week. Those 2 do very little while the other person is picking up those slack and doing their own work

PROS
The work is interesting, you're always moving and you have a chance to create beautiful table settings and buffets. 
CONS 
The younger supervisors are unprofessional, lack training in areas of appropriate workplace conduct and can be extremely moody and catty.  
There are no performance evaluations. 
Favouritism for certain employees in the areas of hours and work areas
The union is useless.

Most toxic work environment I've ever experienced! Managers are misleading and careless . They know about the problems bit have zero desire to fix them. Even when labour board and work place safety are involved. It's like a corrupt government that buys everybody out to go away and let them run their cult like environments. Great employees, amazing members. Some shifts are long but the money is always worth it. Lots of opportunity to make money as there are weddings and other banquets all year, and also from fine dining to working on the patio beside the 18th green. Beautiful views and awesome place to work. Looking forward to all the new clubhouse renovations to end!

Working for a private golf club had benefits and downfalls. The staff were all supportive and encouraging. It was a different waitressing experience that was great for students and females wanting to work in the food and beverage industry.

due to union ,is hard to work together, sometimes they go head to head so it is difficult.
great food,beautiful place to work,member are great.

had great time working here.  made a lot of great friends.  work was easy and great work life balance.  recommend for anyone going to school or just looking for part time work
