I start worked at Burton Manor as a housekeeper, i love cleaning as well because im a clean person. My working experienced at Burton Manor is great,most of my co workers are good to me, in fact they voted me as a secretary treasurer of our Union.Im the secretary treasurer up to the present they trust and they respect me as well..In my work placed sometimes we had some gatherings and they requested me to sing, im not a very good singer but its in me gene that i can sing and sing well. I enjoy talking to my residents in my area as well as their family which sometimes get closer to me for serving their loved one the best i can be everyday. I have never regret working in Burton Manor because i learned a lot from this place.I always attend christmas party at Burton manor because that day is special for me to see my co workers not wearing their uniform but wearing their best attire and enjoy the fun, eating together and dancing together.The hardest part of my job is when the wishwashing machine broke down and we have to wash everything in a different area..

Great company recognition from the owners who treated employees like family.  The residents participating in all kinds of activities and no designated area to seat for staff eg small cafe which was operated by the residents where staff could also buy and enjoy a snack or beverage without hiding or rushing to be out of site.  Turn over rate was nil at the time as all employees respected each other regardless of the department you belong too.

Assisting with nursing care routines on the assigned unit(s), assisting RNs with routines 
Administering medication and treatments, as prescribed by the physician; 
Completing required assessment and documentation practices according to MOHLTC and CNO standards; administering wound care 
Observing and implementing Primacare policies, Occupational Health & Safety requirements as well as excellent health and safety practices

Worst place to work,no balance,cheap pay.

Been treated 8n gumsnt a d bullied by staff and management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
No diversity in management,over worked underpaid

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Too much stress,alot is asked of employees, but no support is given

good place to work, the staff were nice. We worked together, we helped each other and we share experiences that could help residents. The residents had their personal spaces and was respected by the staff and other residences. Important and personal articles were labeled to insure personal belongings were easily accounted for.

Working here is fun and enjoyable. I learn new things everyday. The residents are very interested and teach me new things everyday.The management is very organized and engaged. The co-workers are well chosen and experienced in their field.

The residents and staff are pleasant but the management is absolutely horrible. Very toxic work environment that I would not recommend. If the management was different, it would be a great place to work. 

I grained a lot of experience. It is alot of hard work but you will have a good team behind you. I appreciate the experience. It was hard to go. New management took over and I had to go.
