Don't waste your time here. Most backwards place I've ever worked. Not sure which is worse, the company or the union. The company is cheap and is only concerned with cutting cost. The old company (Autrans) gave out $50 gift cards at Christmas, the Butcher cut that to $25. Nice to know what you are worth. Their recycling program is a joke, we run out of recycling bins mid week and send the remaining plastic to the landfill. More bins are too expensive I guess. If anything stresses you out, you can take advantage of their benefits and go off work on stress leave. Any work related injury is rewarded with restricted duty where you can do as little work as you want, watch movies on your phone if you like.

Management is completely winging it on a daily basis.  It is a stressful place to work, and you are just a number to management. High turn over, most employees don't stick around long. And just finding good parking was often a problem before starting a shift. It took me 5 and a half years to get into day shift. I was on afternoons for 5 and a half years and barely got to see my family working for them because it was a 48 hr a week job. Sunday was considered family day and the only day out of the week you get to spend with your family. 

Typical day they expect you to work basically as a material handler a lead and get minimum wages, barely anyone speaks English and management has difficulties communicating with you. They expect things to get done and hardly anyone has the knowledge to do the job quickly. This isn't the place for long term employment. 

All employees are treated on how they are rated on ghr favorite scale,  any positions that open up go to family or family friends regardless of the  Qualifications or experience they have, compared  to an employee already there with the experience and qualifications they will get looked over for the family. 

Everything is scheduled and you know when it is break time because the buzzers go off.
Management has unrealistic expectations as to the time it takes to do individual jobs and the speed at which you can accurately perform certain tasks.
Stations are difficult to make ergonomic for everyone, you usually have to make the best of a not good situation.

Place is well-organized, and there is a good crew.  A lot of turnover, so constant training of new employees.
Once you learn your station, there is the opportunity to learn others as floater, or work in warehouse.


Only positive is benefit package.
Lots of non English speakers and very difficult to communicate with them, resulting in many misunderstandings.
Let a lot of negative behaviour go.
When asking supervisors or managers for assistance with other staff not listening, nothing gets done.

Working as a Production Associate here offers a great balance between getting things done and enjoying the workday. The workflow is highly productive and organized, so you always know what your daily goals are. The team culture is fantastic, making it a genuinely fun and supportive environment to be a part of every day.

Management and the union are a huge joke. You pay into the union and they don’t do anything for you, they’re for the company not the employee.
People here are rude, outspoken and extremely annoying. Not to mention there’s lots of cases of harassment that don’t get dealt with.

Most don’t stay long. Upper management is “unique”. The work is fast paced , very repetitive, so the days usually go by quickly. There are some good people here , but most end up moving on . It takes 5 years to teach top rate of pay.
