I'll give them one thing: my training/on-board process was impressive and seemed "welcoming" however I doubt it's the same by this point in time... 
If you have ANY difficulties with the work in the department that gets chosen for you at the time of hiring (it doesn't matter how vocal you are about your weaknesses), you run the risk of getting fired. No additional training or coaching will be given. No chances of getting to try other departments. No second chances. Straight Termination. 
Management is quite typical of any factory in Stratford. The top of the "Management Food-Chain" are cliché two-faced, spinless, corporate phony Plant Manager's whom of which do not, nor ever will care about you. The same can be said for the production manager and shift supervisor's. They will be the quickest in the plant to point out everything you do wrong, tell you that you need to improve, then proceed to do absolutely nothing to help you improve, nor come up with any alternative solutions. Then lastly, lie to your face telling you that "They want to see you be successful"... successfully terminated that is...
The common saying among all the base employees is "Management has no clue what they are supposed to be doing or what is going on and they don't properly act until something serious happens". To that I can agree. 
The work itself is pretty mundane and repetitive.
I wouldn't encourage anyone to form any kind of friendships or relationships while working at CRP. Definitely show respect and be friendly to the few good souls trapped there, but other than that, trust no one.

Well first of all don’t believe all the  input reviews for this company is easy enough for management to set up false resume under false names.
This was a good place to feel secure and appreciated by the owners, since taken over all of that is gone !!
Management is so disorganized that you don’t know what going to happen day to day. 
Training is provide but due to lack of time to train people to do their jobs effectively. 
There are good people within this company but mismanagement is slowly turning them into robots and having supervisors and management breathing down their neck is stressful and slowly wears them down. 
No real opportunity to advance. 
This company is good for benefits and events but that not enough to make you feel secure..
Seem to me they find a way to terminate you or make your work life stressful with no direction or real support from management.
Anybody in leadership roles are either are kissing up or overwhelmed with responsibility and no support!!
So short your a number not a person !!
Not a good place to work anymore , to stressful and no trust in upper team      .  
Some people are good while others throw you under the bus just so they can keep their jobs. 
Overall this company has gone down hill after being sold and all they do is hire people with no clue of how this company should run to make it a good place to work and feel secure. 
It’s just sad to see a good company gone south and no matter what they try to do isn’t working. 

This company is a burning dumpster fire.

Even after their version of cleaning house, it's now worse than it ever was before. The Plant Manager is obviously inexperienced, and flying by the seat of his pants.

The overall management has their heads so far up their own rears they can't see what's going on beyond their own narrow vision.

Standards? Don't worry, you don't need those here. They literally make up new standards on the fly. So you will NEVER know what you're doing, because it changes from hour to hour and no one will tell you.

Promotions? I can't actually speak to this without breaking the guidelines of this site.

One last thing to note here is the temperatures. Most factories are hot, especially during the summer. This factory is hot most of the year. Winter it's about 22C inside, and the summer it can go up around 45C with humidity around 80-90%. So in the hot parts of the year, it is a literal sweatshop. You will produce more sweat than plastic.

The sad part is, it's actually not a bad job. They just expect too much, and constantly want you to do even more. My workload has tripled since I started, and their output requirements haven't changed. Pay hasn't increased, but roles and responsibilities has. Their way of dealing with this is to just let everyone go. That way the new hires don't know the difference, and they can continue the cycle.

CR Plastics is a forward thinking, environmentally conscious, and proudly Canadian company. Despite the pandemic, the company has remained strong and continued to hire and progress their team members to higher level roles. The pandemic caused record level orders from customers, and the team members have risen to the challenge!

The management is actively trying to improve the culture and environment, in addition to ensuring product demands are met for the customers! They have brought on a new Plant Manager who has already launched some exciting projects for team members to get involved with. 

The JHSC and management work hard to create a safe and clean environment.

The company has a newly re-launched social committee which is dedicated to engaging team members, supporting local charities, and celebrating holidays and events! 

The jobs are straightforward, but fast paced. Management is exploring new training programs to ensure continual learning. New benefits programs, incentives and events are coming in the new year. 

On top of that - profit sharing bonuses are a really nice way to celebrate the success of the business. 

It's an exciting time to join CRP, lots of good positive changes!

the employee appreciation BBQs that they put on for all of the employees  lplus rhe different events that the management team puts on for all of the employees

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
when I was working there, sone ofof the  the people on day shift would create unncessary drama as I made ny rounds collecting the garbage etc

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
the overnight shift team creates a good working environment while the day shift team creates a  sometimes toxic work environment

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
ATypical day  fir me when I was employedwith thenm would be to change the garbage/recycle bags plus transport the empty shaving bins to the shavings machine where the employees work  etc

I would also perform some outside factory duties ehich included cutting the lawn islands

Management likes to work people till they break, and then flaunt the law with untrained HR's and the inexperienced management they seem to like to hire in what feels like a sincere effort to screw employees over as much as possible. If you want to work for these people, it is imperative you know your rights, because they don't seem to. Additionally, they do not like reward employee loyalty and seniority means nothing, and advancement is usually a case of blatant favoritism. Most often more like a popularity contest.

The work is hard and the management unappreciative of any extra effort. They do have profit share but on occasion have been known to last minute change the qualifying requirements to disqualify people from receiving it. Sometimes they do raffles for furniture.

A friendly place to work. 250 employees seem to be part of a very big family.

Everyday is an opportunity to learn a new thing and challenge yourself. A very fast growing company that requires learning and adopting yourself to work in a fast-paced environment and finish the projects before the deadlines and with minimum errors.

At CRPlastics, we extrude reground recycled plastics into molds to produce different parts of outdoor furniture. The technology to do this process is unique. Therefore this company requires unique engineers who are able to be innovative and design new methods and machines to catch up with its fast growing business. I believe this makes my job fun, challenging and the same time hard.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Used to be a great place. Unfortunately as the people you love leave, it not a great place anymore. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The constant having to clean up after others. Nevermind teaching them properly,  just re work the sub par product, while they just keep doing it over and over. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A lot of management knowing less than the crew. And the management not trying to know more than the crew. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful. Not feeling fulfilled or appreciated

Prior to the original owners retiring and selling the company, CRP was a family type of environment. 
Once the owners began to back off and began to sell, things went downhill quickly. The new management team is all about profits and conformity. If you want to work over 40 hrs a week for only 40 hrs pay, have to maintain multiple jobs with no advancement or enticement, this is the place for you. Not to mention the incredible negativity from supervisors and higher.

Great company with great purpose behind them and provides straight day/afternoon/night shifts. The work day is typically repetitive, great place if you want to go in everyday knowing what you'll be doing. For the amount of work they expect to what you get paid, I often felt stressed with minimal encouragement or praise from management or team leads.
