CAN-AM GEOMATICS

A typical day at work would be waking up at the hotel, eating breakfast and getting ready. Leave the hotel and drive out to site. I would set up the survey equipment when we arrive and then we would drive or unload the quads and quad around the area and find pins in the ground and then tie them in with the survey equipment. we would then continue on with whatever task we had for the day and then pack up at the end of the day and head back to the hotel. I learned a lot about work ethic and making bonds with coworkers. The people I worked with were very friendly and hard working we would always get together after work and go out for supper. The hardest part of the job would be pounding in pins in the winter time, and the most enjoyable would be quadding. The management was very organized and helpful if we had any trouble.They always kept the crews running smoothly.

The company was bought out by a holding group, which does care about the company and employees. Everyone has Left the company for not trusting the managers and CEO. They don't know anything about Geomatics or survey.
The CEO is a person with no management background.
They ended the companies' culture and it becames a sad place to work at.
Hope they sell the company before it is too late.

The jobs are fine but culture on this company making the job unsafe.  

They don't respect their promises on hiring.  Suggest to mark in the contract what you want before to be hire.

The supervisors and some PM got a lack of knowledge in surveying putting the crews in the no comfort zone.

They don't care about their employees and you can loose your job any time.

I don't recommend this company.

Canam is a great place to work.  My colleagues are great and very helpful.  My branch manager is very supportive and I can approach him with any concern I might have.
I am constantly learning and very lucky to be part of a team that gives 110% on every project.

Canam takes care of their employees. I loved working there.
Salaries are competitive. Benefits are generous. When I worked there the management was friendly and fair. Management has changed now and I cannot speak to that. Overall a great company to work for.

A very educational and knowledgeable company to start at, coming from Nait's Geomatics Engineering Technology program. Great people with patience, understanding and experience. Always ready to help you whether working in the office or in the field.

Can-Am Geomatics provided a great amount of work opportunities within the survey department. The teamwork approach was very helpful and created a positive environment.

This was an amazing company to work for, for the first year or so, then the job layoffs started, the company was bought up by another company. Company culture has completely changed.

I found the Company was well managed, proactive, safety orientated and friendly, Many benefits and little perks which really add up to a wonderful experience.
