I worked at toronto office for a while and I must say I really was disappointed of job, management, style of work & corporate culture in there.
I was way over promised before accepting the job andway under delivered during my employment there

Working at CCL helped me realize how much work goes into producing even the little things that most people do not thing much of. It taught me leadership and management skills that will surely help me in my future. The hardest part of the job was the commute which took about an hour one way and the most enjoyable part was learning new things almost every day from the laborers and managers alike.

I worked at CCL Container for 21yrs sadly the company in Penetanguishene shut down this past June 2017. It was a great place to work, I planned on retiring out of there, with 300 workers at its peak down to 180 then finally down to 80 just before shutdown the average yrs an employee was 20 yrs. So sad to go but time to move on.

I was quickly advanced with this company but not any faster than I was comfortable with. The Supervisor was very hands on along with ink techs in getting my questions answered  and the job signed off.

Company was looking for efficiencies across the corporation, along the way they forgot that the employees formed the basis of their  business . I believe that they wished to divest themselves of the container portion of the business and concentrate on labels. Money was good , culture was poor. Miss the money ,don’t miss the accompanying politics

Work you to death expect loyalty as they screw  you for everything you have. Promise advancement as middle management runs around doing jobs they are not qualified for. They are not humans resources people but they are IN human resources.  They are not an engineer but they are head of engineering.  The company rewards poor management techniques

Moral is bad, just trying to survive day by day .people doesn't seem to get along. Too much politics.They like you if you give them lot of favor like working o.t. etc. But if you made mistake, you might be one of candidate to be lay off . there is no loyalty.

The CSR team is very impersonal and cold.  Very toxic culture and the Manager, Marina plays favourites!  Everyone on that team are old and set in their ways and are incapable or learning or handling anymore that what they currently have.  They try to hire younger CSRs to handle the workload.

Enjoyed working with management team.
Long standing employees, pay was good for hourly employees.
Culture was lacking 
last few years very difficult  the plant closure was announced.
Many changes in management made the transition difficult
For the most part a fun and enjoyable environment to work in

Placed in area of work which is very repetitive. After 2 to 3 months are then tried out in other areas. Management walks through plant a few times per day to keep an eye on production levels. Difficult to advance unless someone retires.
