CD Plus

I enjoyed my many years at CD Plus immensely. I was allowed to grow and prove my worth and thus climb the ladder from part-time employee to Store Manager.
Upper Management trained me well and believed in me and my methods and I appreciate them very much for that.
The Christmas Season was very hard with long hours and dealing with sometimes unreliable employees and disgruntled customers but I persevered for 18 years and if I can handle all that then I can handle just about anything.
I wish the company had not folded as I would still be there right now helping customers and learning more about music, movies and games.

I was very young when I received the management job at CD Plus and I will always look at this job as the one that taught me a great work ethic and great responsibilities. I had the responsibilities of making a work schedule, in charge of five employees and assisted in hiring employees. I look fondly back at this employment it has taught me a lot of skills that I still use to this day. 

The store closed in March 2007

Loved my job and the people I worked with. The store also gave me my first managerial experience which comes in handy pretty much everywhere. Was very sad when the store closed down causing my departure.

Took care of all aspects of customer service, staffing, and promotions going on with the company. Learned a lot about margins and profits in this position, as I was accountable for all sales in my store.

Like many music stores, this chain is also closed. I loved my time here and met some life long friends from this employment. I learned a lot and was able to really put my love of music and my love of people development on the forefront of my career.

Great boss, team environment. Retail work on the daily. Workplace culture was teamwork and always have fun. The hardest part would be disgruntled customers which are to be expected and wasn't an often occurrence.

Was an amazing company to work with and for. Great atmosphere. Terrific work life balance.  Very accommodating company. From coworkers to management, incredible.

Friendly People and staff. Ok hours for a student or adult. Cash and stock trained. Ok place for advancement if you are willing to put in the work to become a supervisor

It was fun to work in a record store, however staff were left to work alone when not properly trained. I loved working with and selling music however management wasn't great.

Not entirely sure why indeed is asking me to review every employment as most of these are from Canada and CD Plus no longer exists. It was a great place
