CDS - Custom Downstream Systems

CDS is a place with a lot of interesting projects going on and thus, it's a good place to learn by yourself. You know at what time you arrive but never know at what time you are going to leave. Salary & Benefits (overtime, annual review) are way under the market and job conditions are horribles (Safety, Environement etc). Old style mentality, impossible to plans anything since upper management seems not to care about wanting to improve the business without investing or impacting the schedule. This place is sclerotic and there is a lot of internal conflits between department. Everyone is trying to cover up their ass and there is no sense of confidence between collegues.   

There is a lot of interesting projects going on there and thus, this is a good place to learn by yourself. You know at what time you come in but never know at what time you are going to leave. It's also impossible to plan or try to improve anything since upper management seems no to care unless it doesn't cost aything or doesn't impact the production.This whole structure is sclerotic and there is a lot of internal conflicts between department. There is no sense of confidencebetween collegues and most of the time people working there try to cover up their ass.

Horrible experience. Very understaffed & will say just about anything to reel you in to come work during the interview. Instead of appreciating a hard worker, they purposely try to find or create some sort of “dirt” on you to avoid paying you any more once your probation is over with. If you’re okay working a stagnant job, knock yourself out. If not, save yourself the time and find somewhere else… anywhere else really. 

It's a great place to start out fresh out of school but no more than that. The pay is low and they rarely give raises. The drawings always have problems and you constantly do modifications after the product has been made. They always buy cheap tools. 

during my time at cds learning the bases of mechanical assembly has been easy du to a strong leadership of my team supervisor.

the only problem i saw is the lack of organisation in the shop.

Workers and supervisor are very rude
No good benefit 
Very low salary 
No good design 
A lot of mistake in drawing (electrical and Mechanical 
Missing tools
