Overall my experience was pleasant.  I learned a great deal about tile and flooring of various types.  Always something new to learn somewhere. The management a firm but fair. You are expected to keep your order picking and truck loading as scheduled. No joke about it. But you will also find them to be understanding and lenient once you have displayed and established your work quality.  Often you can be asked to advance to different areas of the warehouse as positions become available. Not necessarily a career goal for everyone, however they do employ a decent sized sales and management department, which could offer you a decent chance to advance to sales if you show some aptitude for it. Also I should mention heavy machinery will be used such as forklifts and side reaches, and hopefully you are a conscious and alert person. This warehouse can be dangerous for day dreamers and absent minded professors alike.  There will be repetitive heavy lifting and potentially hazardous situations. Tiles are heavy and when they break they are sharp. I myself had to get a few stitches while in their employ. To be honest though the manager at the time personally drove me straight to the E.R. and drove me home again after. Good team of guys in the warehouse. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you have a backbone and a brain cell or two its nothing you cant handle.

They promise you a job.
They offer all the advantages one could think of:
Social activities, Great insurance, Great retirement plans.

But what lies underneath is ugly. For years of hard work, you will find yourself older and none the wiser, none the richer and each year, they will tell you the same sweet melody when comes the raise. "Work hard and maybe if something opens up..."... They will likely hire from outside.

Half the staff been working there for years and complains about the job they were doing for over 10 years.
These same people botch their job but since they do not put any of their concern on the table, the management can easily dispatch them however they need. 

The management is probably similar to any other place. CEO seeks income. They cut budgets, they want production, they poorly invest and expect rewards.

The middle ground ain't any better. You find floor managers struggling to keep the pieces together. Instead of solving problems they find temporary solutions to make it "work".
They are slaves to their role and doesn't know any better than what it always been. Promises are the best thing they can offer.

If you are in a ditch and need to get up, sure, it's a good crutch. 
Unless you have absolutely no certificate, knowledge or experience, you are worth more than this. 

Ps: A better understanding of their worker's needs would be good, a better workforce would be great. Throw at least an hourly dollar more on the paycheck and it would be satisfying enough to forget how this many years has been spent hoping for the promises to come true.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The entire experience for me was amazing. Great management and fellow workers. A nice pace of work. Dealing with customers, tilers, contractors and designers on a professional level selling them update to date products (tile and flooring from all over the world).Only left the company because I moved to a different city. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Supply chain issue around Covid time but the customers were understanding.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family owned business with friendly staff. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Serving customers, emails and phone calls. I did help with the organizing, cleaning and arranging the showroom and tile sample areas.

I was very grateful for a set schedule.  The schedule was done monthly and with being a full time employee there was not many changes.
Customers were the priority, unfortunately not all staff valued this.  
Most enjoyed working with customers who were able to bring some ideas  they were trying to achieve with the design process. I always enjoyed when a client left satisfied and happy with the tile/flooring choices and stock was available.
The hardest part was ensuring inventory was available and stock was not on back order.  
Not much room for growth within the company
Great company to work for and would recommend Centura Tile to future employment.

The days start early at the order desk and in the warehouse at 7:30 am. Warehouse is paid hourly and works 9.5 hr days but there is OT on every single paycheck. You have to work the odd Saturday for 5 hrs but for the most part there are no weekends and you always get out around 5. I would highly recommend working for this company and am only looking for work elsewhere because I am moving.

Long hours, no paid breaks or lunch. LOW pay!!
Hot, dirty and heavy work.
Unrealistic work load and expectations every single day.
Management is focused on themself, could care less about the “little people” that do the real work that make this business thrive!

NA, I have no review to provide. It was a place to survive but no growth. No job securities. No bonus,. People were not supportive and management need to change the way they treat their worker

Very busy place, get to know a lot of floor and wall products.  Learn different designs for homes and new things for home.  Get to see lots of different  types of people with different interest.

Centura tile is a great place to work the staff is friendly and easy going and the work is pretty simple. It's great to wrk with poeple and do something related to what I went to school for.

Good company to work for management can use a little tweaking although it is a very clean warehouse with a beautiful showroom the work can get a little tedious all it takes is patience
