Great salary, benefits for top tier employees good luck getting there and the union ufcw401 try to fight for their members to get what they need. But no family/social life you work a 20-10. It's what you sign up for but can get harder if you are developing a family. Great place if you are single and no attachments, if you need to get out of debt and get you started on the right track. The money is good you work 9 hrs a day and there's usually OT. The work changes from manageable to unmanageable very drastically. High turnover of management, you have constantly have to beg for supplies and PPE. If it wasn't for the employees this place wouldn't function the occupational health and safety committee and shop stewards management meetings is very valuable. I feel little by little the company during contract negotiations has succeeded in under valuing us by pay cuts, benefits cuts loss in hours. They've been cutting us down for a long time. We are on a two tier pay system good luck getting on the top tier it's grandfather in by senior employees there's no guarantee that you will move up unless the union and company can bargain for it when the contract is up. We've given them our all we work and live in such a remote place away from families. All that should be compensated with pay and great benefits. So a place that was once worth working at. It's slowly being diminished by the employer. Employees is what keeps this place a float.

Really family oriented.Everybody helps each other.The clients are always friendly and polite.The atmosphere in every camp I was in was unbelievably friendly and welcoming.

The amount of clients to feed at once.Time management is always a big factor of the job and can get stressful at times but you work together and get it done with style.

It is very multi cultural.You learn so much about other people’s cultures and their religion. I enjoyed learning so much working with this company.

Very productive every day you are busy on every shift.Never a dull moment.

12 hours a day and busy all the time you don’t feel the 20 days

To feed 4,000 to 5,000 people in a day 
Get it done and get paid and go home for 10 days

The work is not bad here. You get good pay however between the horrible food in the kitchen and horrible management it's not worth it. You will move rooms countless times because the managers don't know what they're doing. The food is messed up and it's not even fancy stuff. The worst thing here is the management. Watch your back.

After years of working hard to keep the lodge going through fires, pandemic and downturns, our employer has decided that greed is good. 
Their plan is to fire their own subsidiary and bring in another of their subsidiary to do the same work, but at lower wages. 
They will lose, but it taints future relations with this company. 

I loved the job and company.  It was a really great atmosphere to work in.  Lots of hours and work.  Respectful staff and coworkers, teamwork and secure site.  It was a great opportunity and experience for me.  I learned so many skills on camp.

I loved going to work everyday.  My position required me to meet with and deal with all levels of mnagement and employees, plus interview different people everyday. Great benefits and salary at the time I was there.  The best experience/position of my career so far!
