What is the best part of working at the company?
The Wash bay, and there are some good people to help you out. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dispatching is sub standard.. your always kept in the dark.. never told what's next. And They'll expect you. To just wait around till they finally get motivated to find you some work. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
One of the worst places I've ever worked. It's a popularity contest.. with a yard full of super truckers.. they care more about shiny paint and chrome. Than the quality of the job you do. Personally I avoided the shop and yard like the plague.. because of all the drama. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hurry up, and extreme wait.. Unless you'll high on the popularity poll. And as long you drive one of the miles out. Custom flat top peterbilts.. otherwise, expect a lot of waiting around.. and very little work.

The owners are truly wonderful people. They treat their staff like family. They respect us and try their best to have a happy work-home life balance. Everyone is supplied with all the tools they need to succeed in their specific roles within the company. I feel the company is ran with true respect for their employees. Many people work here specifically because they want to work for the owners and that says a lot about the business. The health and dental plan has been recently upgraded to meet everyone's needs. It is one of the best plans I have seen as an employee. I know many fellow employees are very appreciative of the plan and the health spending account offered. CMT goes out of their way to do employee appreciation events such as bi-annual appreciation draws for vacations and monthly bbq's. In my position I speak to a lot of other employees and the one thing that everyone agrees on is that the owners are amazing people.

They'll promise you tons of work and everything will seem great in the beginning. Once you're in the door everything changes quickly. They have a shop on site but things take forever to fix and you'll be forced to run broken/illegal equipment or they'll tell you to go home. Don't be distracted by the shiny equipment, that's the only nice thing they have going for them. Communication is non-existent, and management will stab you in the back first chance they get. Extremely toxic workplace. Don't bother applying here, there's way better options. There's a reason they go thru so many drivers every single month.

Starts off great. Lots  of hours and work. Then they change in a few weeks and you starve. Shiny equipment, that's how they get you to come work for them. It's always breaking down and takes forever to fix, unless your on them to fix it. Your not family unless you wreck equipment or customers property. Management can't communicate properly and expect you to reset on the road and gives no family life time. They don't listen to their drivers experiences. Owner throws temper tantrums and acts like a child. Management will back stab you any chance they get.

Some roads and sites were a nightmare to drive 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly. There are monthly Bar-B-Q 's and an annual prize trip 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start of day to finish is steady running with enough break time to grab meals

I worked in reception for about two years. The office manager and payroll clerk were really fun to work with! The owner (lady) who hired me was super nice and pretty! My other colleagues such as managers were really fun and liked to joke around. This made the work a lot more fun especially when we had the Halloween and Christmas parties! There was always a monthly BBQ and we got beautiful flowers for admin day! 

CMT is a great company to work for. Everyone is treated like family and the owners care about us. There are lots of opportunities for advancement within the company and good work does not go unnoticed around here. They are more than fair and have compassion for everyone. We're appreciated and they show us that in many ways, such as BBQs and the Vacation Getaway Package that is given away twice a year.  

Best place I have ever worked and plan to retire here. You are a person and not just a number and everyone is like family. Amazing equipment and the shop is quick to get trucks fixed and back on the road safely. Office are great to deal with and have all come from being in the truck before moving to the office so they know what its like to be a driver. 

Solid company, no real serious complaints, the people were decent and respectful, the job duties were as outlined and expected. Company has a good reputation within the industry. Would recommend as a place to work. 

Working here was one of the best places I have ever worked. I was contracted to work for the summer and was treated with respect and care. They are a family owned company and that truly reflects on the way they treat their employees. It is a great company.
