I have enjoyed every single day since I came into Canada with immense progress in work and life generally. My voluntary work period was more interesting. I usually spent four and half hours every Wednesday and Friday at the community centre preparing food,salad and refreshment for groups with other work mates,it was done in a clean,friendly environment.
The difficult part of the job was deciding on the menu every week as we avoid repeating a particular food but the most enjoyable part is making a tasty meal after deciding on what to prepare,the laugh,chats and dedication every member adds to it. It was quite a time I wish would repeat itself. Am looking forward to entering the proper work field with the same spirit.

A typical day at this job for me was to analyze documents such as spreadsheets, databases and surveys to determine the best course of action. I learned lots of things such as teamwork, communication and time management. The management at this job were helpful and easy-going. Workplace culture was fairly laid-back and exciting as they were lots of activities to do during breaks such table tennis, basketball and more. The most enjoyable part of this job for me was challenging it was as it forced me to use my problem solving skills to overcome obstacles and made me think outside the box.

Work as a basketball coach for kids ages 4-6 and 7-9 I learned how to communicate with many parents and enjoy making kids smile and have a good time at the same time. Great Co-workers all work together and will help with any problems and easy to talk with and get along with. Hardest part of the job would be getting every kid to listen since they get easily distracted and tend to not listen at times. The most enjoyable part of my job would be making other people enjoy what I teach because it makes me enjoy my job along the way and have fun playing basketball with kids.

I have volunteered for 519 Church St. Community Centre last three years, usually from February-June. Since I came to Canada 4.5 years ago and still looking for a regular job this was a great opportunity for me to meet a lot of different people, make contact with them and provide services like filling tax returns for low income individuals as well as helping in "pride events".I did my best to make every piece of my job well done.

It's a great place to work if you want to guide and influence children and kids. I learned a lot about communication and patience and acceptance. I learned how to be a leader and felt fulfilled at the end of my day. I found management a little difficult to work with sometimes but the regular employees made up for that. All in all I would work there again.

A day at work was pretty good, I've learned how to build apartments, Management he was a pretty good manager. My co-workers were awesome good to get along with, the hardest part of the job was leaving work. the most enjoyable part of the job was getting together and getting to know the staff.

a typical day at the 519 Community Center is meeting new people and catching up with the ones that you already knew for volunteer, for opportunity to learn new things and interacting with the public.

I work with public answer their questions, registration, refunds and take payments.
Every shift is different lots to learn and meet different people.
You create a feel of the community and get connected with them.
I enjoy my job

The community center was very productive with a lot of people coming in during the summer for all different kinds of reasons, such as the supervisors that were there really helped me get the experience i needed.

Well, it was a great place to work because I have met a lot of newcomers and leaner new skills as well as I get to do the different tasks every day in different places.
