started here in 2018.
left a great job, as they informed me I was a great fit as they were rebuilding the company and needed some help.
they hired a new manager overseeing all sites in Canada.
He gave me his word things would change...
3 months into my job still had no lap top, no one would or could help me run customer lists or explain how our system worked. or even how or who to quote.
I recieved more help from the new crane manager than from anyone else working in the service side. However I was informed not to speak to the new crane manager as he had a different game plan than the service department.

No diection at all!

customers were unhappy with past service and leaving, so they informed us to increase prices for more profit. grasping at straws they fired the manager of the BC branch. then the secretary.
even after landing numerous large customers and renewing contacts at almost double their previous rate profit was still down due to lack of proper leadership.
So managment decided let's cut 7 more jobs.
Canadian service manager sucked, took my phone chargers over and over never returning anything he borrowed, never gave me any info he promised to get me and always left me hanging.
in the end he said I was set up to fail.

If anyone from CRS reads this tell him I am still waiting for the new updated price quote sheet from 3 months ago.

I would never work for them again!!!!

On the positive side I did enjoy working with the technicians and I learned alot due to manufacturers training from outside company's.

Heavy micromanagement from the upper level directorship with little to no autonomy given to department heads to properly lead their teams. This company has the potential to be a very successful business if managed properly. Leadership runs from the top down. You need to give your people the tools to be successful, then step back and allow the individual managers to lead their respective teams and deliver results. 

I was consistently exceeding my targets, but still subject to intense scrutiny on day to day activities and numbers by upper management with no clear directive.

This company will put a line in your offer worded "In event of company reorganization you can be terminated without notice." This is how employees are let go for not playing ball with the office politics regardless of performance.

Lots of empty promises and working under management that does not understand the crane industry. Very frustrating most of the time, on occasion, jobs would be planned right and the day would be bearable.
NOT paid overtime for driving company vehicle, which works out to straight time with their convoluted formula. Completely unacceptable to slave hard on a job site all day, only to be rewarded by being paid straight time for your drive back to Surrey.
Profits are paid to company shareholders, not the employees that helped it all happen.
Asked to certify equipment without proper testing facilities. Frequently asked to repair equipment that is no longer serviceable and not economically feasible to do so.
Took over 5 months to receive benefits plan yet was promised after 3 months of employment.

They are always complaining about anything and everything. Never a good word on anything you do. Things happens and you get blamed for it. You have to be absolutely perfect to work for them and there are no perfect people out there. When working on cranes no two jobs are the same. Today it will take 30 min to do a job and tomorrow it will take you a whole day to do exactly the same job because things do happen. They don't seem to understand that. Operations manager is always complaining about just about anything. Not worth working there even if they do pay reasonable sometimes. There are better paying jobs out there and people that treat you better as well.

having a 40 hours a week or even have a overtime for sat. or sun. depends on the company,I've learned a lot time management,deadlines of the work should be focus on your job for the success of all in the company. Co workers should bee friendly and helpful to co workers,the hardest part of the job when lock of materials if you needed.the most enjoyable part of the job when you solve the problem that is the points to company.

It was a pleasure to work with a dedicated and well rounded team that I worked with at CRS. There was always collaboration on every project to achieve the desired outcome. Profitability and project completion within a set amount of time. Did it always work that way, of course not. But we always learned and made sure those things were always carried on to the next project.

I enjoyed working there, great group of guys to work with. Everyone works as a tem and helps each other out. I learned the complete process of building overhead bridge cranes from start to finish, which was new to me. The shop foreman and production manager are great guys to work for. They also keep all tickets and training for employees up to date and paid for. I would still be working there if it hadn't got so slow.

I and drove to a job site (various). Talked to customers about their needs and how I could help. I could take apprentices or coworkers with me to teach procedures or work together to ensure quality. We worked until finished or till a stopping point was reached. Either fixed or repair parts ordered. 

My time at CRS Crane Systems was time well spent. They invest in their workforce with training modules and support from the ownership group down.

This company has a ton of potential, but needed the powers that be to step out of the way a bit. They put some personnel into positions with little to no experience due to family connections, which cost the company more than it benefit them.
