Caldense Bakery

Worked there for a year, didn’t get a single raise especially when I was at the back working with the ovens. It’s a lot of work and you honestly barely get paid for what you work for. Employee drama, terrible management, broken equipment, harmful chemicals being used to clean things such as the grill, etc. trust me, you’ll get nothing from this job. Unless you’re really desperate. They’re always hiring. 

My overall experience working at Caldense Bakery was not very good. The only part I enjoyed was the people I was around and worked alongside me. Otherwise, the managers were not very considerate and the job itself was very tough because nothing ever seemed to be enough. However, the pay was good, better than your average job salary which is always great.

Nice environment at work with the manager and coworkers. I learned how to make sandwiches and other kinds of meal. I also learned how to serve different kinds of persons and how to deal with some clients. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with good people and  taste new food.

Caldense Bakery was okay to work at, the co-workers were nice for the most part. However, there was a lot of pressure to do numerous roles in the business (ex. cleaner, cook, server, baker, & handling deli meat/lunch sandwiches/pastries). Owners are also extremely rude and intimidating. 

I loved the job always busy interacting with different customers and dealing with different situations. Dealing with food and beverages keeping a certain paste when busy and dealing with pressure.

The Male boss was arrogant and bossy ,he treat his employee like a machine or robot no emergency family exception absent .he expect to know everything on the training .

First off it depends on which location you go the one I went you could never trust anyone from the morning shift cause they thought better of themselves instead of all of us working as a collective team.

I regret quitting this place, the owners were amazing, very understanding and willing to give time off. Customers were always great, and you can connect with the regulars :) the tips and the food were a bonus to the job !!

So so , not recomend. This isnt a job for life, is just a place to work and make money, little money . You do learn alot but not a life job. And you must speak portuguese , be prepard for people to attack you if you dont.

it was an amazing experience with amazing people. Every day would be something different from making pastries, serving and making specialty coffees, making and preparing sandwiches.
