What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Senior level management in individual departments.  Caldic is not good at guiding their people managers in communication downwards.  Always very secretive and critical of people they may personally have opinions about.  This place will cause you a lot of undue stress.  Also sales is only about the bottom line.  They will gauge customers where they can.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful and disheartening.  A lot of cliquey groups.  You are not truly appreciated for individuality here.  Their corporate culture is a facade covered by big shiny words and leaders who only care about their bonuses.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy.  You will be placed on work you didn't get hired for so beware.

Caldic Canada Inc, Mississauga location is a fast paced, customer focused organization. Currently leading 5 QC technologist and are responsible for all distributed and manufactured product quality. 

This location carries an extremely wide varieties of the product lines such as Dry Bakery Blend, Dry Vitamin & Mineral Blend, Liquid Sugar Blend, Liquid Oil Blend, Release Agents, Antioxidant, and many others. It provides an excellent environment to learn anything and everything about the ingredients used in the food industry.

The operation groups are great group of people who understand, respect and support the Quality program and policy at all times. We believe on doing everything we can to satisfy the customers and in order to achieve this goal, we all have to work together. This culture is great but can sometimes hinder opportunities and focus towards continuous improvement projects.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked as a dry Blends Team Member and  the managerial approach to situations in the department is superb. I wish I will always encounter such cooperation at all work places. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It is the dry Blends room one where one has to have efficient organizational skills because of multi-tasking. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very cordial and members work as teams 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day involves lifting but mostly by forklift

Supported by a strong management team, Caldic's company values are focused on high-growth, passion and power of the team, competitive spirit, customer excellence and most importantly, respect for all - always. 

Caldic is small enough to have a friendly work environment, however, large enough to offer a great compensation package and opportunities for learning and growth within your current position.

It's a great first start but their regulatory department isn't what you expect it would be. It's very administrative, communication cracks are a huge problem, micromanaging is too. Constantly short staffed but not really making any efforts to change that. Only great thing is that you can work from home during COVID. 

The work environment is demanding, fast-paced, and marked by a high turnover of employees. Despite the challenges, I enjoyed working there. Success in this role requires strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to handle work-related stress effectively.

Management is constantly checking on progress and bonus system based on fast execution of order picking. Problems rarely get resolved to the satisfaction of what’s needed. Management only looks at numbers! It’s cut throat with training as they don’t want you too know what they know!

Some good and some not so good people to work with, just like everywhere else. Fast pace, heavy lifting, long time on concreate floor standing. good lunch room. good company barbeques monthly during warmer weather.

Quick turn around. zero job security, new faces every week.Very stressful. Everyone was nervous and on edge worrying if they were next to be let go.Constant interruptions.

It's a good place to work. Work environment overall is alright... lot of politics over there but what workplace doesn't have it. Good place overall though.
