Unlike some other jobs I've had, I never dreaded going into work at Calendar Club. The work was always easy and the staff was legitimately like family after a while. I worked there from age 16-19 and I always said that it was like I had a whole team of extra grandparents every time I went in for a shift (though not everyone was actually grandparent-aged). 

Oftentimes in the summer the store would be so slow that some days you wouldn't see a single person come in for the whole 4-hour shift, but once the holidays arrived it was constant traffic. We would get skids of product almost daily that had to be received and stored/stocked, all while tending to customer needs out on the floor. Calendar Club operates on the extremes of slow days and busy days, but when you work with some good people like I did, it all goes smoothly. 

I'd definitely recommend it to teens looking for a simple start to their working lives, or to retirees looking for something to occupy some extra time. There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of opportunity for advancement at the retail level for Calendar Club, as I know one person that I worked with who had worked with the company for over a decade before getting a store manager position, but as long as you know that it's just a simple part-time way to make some extra cash, you're golden. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Not much toxic environment. I think toxic says it all. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No support unless you are family or bestie with management

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. No managerial support only negative feed back unless you are related to management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not much support or helpful tools made available told no budget for this department. Bring up issues relating to department in meeting for the said department an told cant discuss that at this meeting.

Very smart and easy going Owners who respect and trust me. I'm very loyal and manage my employees in a team environment with a very fun vibe. It really feels like a family that can grow together and learn from one another.  Not stressful  and I enjoy training and teaching my employees to have the best Customer service and learn as much as they can about products.  It really is a great company to work for and I enjoy it every single season 🙂 I am a bit disappointed in the lack of people who are just not wanting to work.  It really is a very small selection of people. 

Calendar Club gave me my first experience as a manager, it was a lot of fun and a fast paced job that involves a lot of organizational skills. Everything was very quick and easy to learn, there are reference books provided as well if you had questions and it was easy to reach out to other managers or boss if you had something that couldn't be answered in the reference book. Everyone I worked with was very friendly.

If you're hired as a sales associate, your experiences will greatly differ from others depending on who the manager is.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I did put away ,picking ,using compactor and tapping boxes 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
My stressful part was working at the dunage when it was time for ups 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The working environment was friendly

- Reliable, organized and practical since the assembly/disassembly of the kiosk until the treatment with the employee.
- Efficient and participatory management.
- Diverse and relaxed atmosphere with owner's participation.
- Clear and objective training.

If it’s your first ever job or you just need cash over Xmas, go for it - otherwise it’s not really worth it. You work for 3 months or so in a store you set up, often doing a shift by yourself for the most part. The one I worked at hired the first bum off the street as manager and he stole the deposit bag a couple times.

Banking .
Training staff 
Keeping store clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
Meeting and greeting customers fulfilling their needs.

A good seasonal employer. Pay is minimum wage, no chance of advancement. A good job for extra money over the holidays. Not sustainable though if its your only job. shifts are only 6 hours, and not more than 30 hours a week.
