When I started it was my 'fun' job. It was fast-paced, which made time go by faster. There were a couple perks, like getting a discount on some games, getting free or discounted food sometimes. Twice a year they would hold meeting to let us know what is new and exciting coming up for the hockey/football season. They would feed us and have a raffle for some really decent items.
You could count on management to be visible to the employees, and they were around if you needed help. Some would step in and help customers to get rid of the line of customers.
It was a casual job, so it could work around your schedule. Just help whenever you can.

Now, management has changed. They fired a bunch of management and replaced them with people who haven't worked the stands. They don't help in the stands at all.  They don't wear a uniform anymore, so they're harder to see in a crowd. I never see them at Stampeders games anymore, except the beginning, and after that you're on your own. 
There are no perks anymore like the meetings or the raffles.
They have imposed new mandatory minimums for scheduling, which means you are expected to work about half the month now. Also, you are expected to be available for about half the shifts, but there is no guarantee to get those shifts. But you better be available for them, whether you get paid or not.

I don't like going to work now.

I only worked for the Dome PRE-COVID, please take into consideration reading this:
I was laid off because of the pandemic at the beginning of March but I had a decent experience here. I would not call it a hard job, but I also can't say it would be enough to make a living off, and there is no benefits for part time workers as they go through them quickly. It is very corporate and they manage a lot of staff which makes getting personal questions/requests answered a little confusing. 

I had a good experience with the kitchen management, who gave me a lot of opportunities that I appreciated and would like to have followed through on prepandemic. The older workers who have been there a long time are friendly, and I found there's decent camaraderie between them.

I inevitably left for the new season out of COVID safety concerns for my household but I would return with the right measures, if only for extra part time work.

$42,000 is the starting salary. Doesn’t matter your experience or education, everyone gets paid the same. There is very little room for advancement since everyone is competing for better jobs.
Free tickets but you’re taxed on them. Management will throw you under the bus to make themselves look better to the execs. They do NOT have your back, despite what they might preach. Policies and procedures are thrown out the window when they get push back. 
Staff parties and events are great but only select few get to go. If you have work, they expect you to work while the rest of the employees go. 
As great as it is to work for the Flames, it’s not worth the battle. They do not respect employees and pay way too low for a multi-million dollar company. 

Worked here up till January. I got the job on the spot in august when stampeders season started. I think everyone did, interview was like five minutes. Management is consistently changing, two of the managers quit into the first two months. Two new came in, and the most recent one is the least favourite. They never reply to emails, and always deny time off requests. Some days you will only get 3-4 hours of shift and be cut because it isn’t that busy. This happens most days because of the arena capacity. One thing I did like was the staff kitchen. $1 for fries, soda and bunch of other sweet dome food. That’s about it though. 

Working at the Saddledome provides a fun filled work environment. Management is filled with enthusiastic team players allowing staff to feel stress-free. Scheduling is very flexible. Great place to make new friends and build healthy relationships with everyone of all departments. Most staff are either young adults, or have been working there since they were young adults. Opportunities to attend staff events occur regularly. Overall a great place to work at if you're looking for a flexible, friendly, fun-filled work environment

This was the worst experience I ever had was not given the tools, training or respect to do the job. Treated poorly from day one. Never had all the tools or proper explanation,  when you question or made a suggestion you were scolded or told how you were wrong there way was the right way not open to new ideas. Can not trust HR as the indicated conversions are confidential  but they are not they will repeat everything to to your supervisor that was said.  Certain Supervisor is especially two faced. 

Let me get this straight, I absolutely LOVED working at the Saddle dome!! Hated working McMahon Stadium. The job overall was fun!! Nice coworkers is a bonus! However, management will NOT listen to employees concerns, will treat them however they want, and if security doesn't like you, for whatever reason, they'll come up with the MOST outrageous LIE and report you to your management, where they'll throw you out the door without hearing your side!!! Whatever you do, don't apply!!! No one lasts long there plus the rumors that will start against you!! It's a horrible job, especially for students, or people finding their first job!

Fun place to work. Most of the staff are easygoing and supportive while some "leads" act arrogant and bossy for absolutely no reason at all since we all get paid the same measly $15 an hour. There's no hope of a pay raise ever, so that's terrible. In summer, shifts are almost nonexistent. Game nights are 6 or 5 hours long, so that's that. Concerts are more enjoyable but they don't happen often, unfortunately. 

Working with your coworkers feels like being part of a family, and the income is competitive for the nature of the job. The work environment is enjoyable and engaging. However, the management team does not foster that same sense of belonging. They often lack support for their teams and tend to focus on accusations rather than providing guidance on how to improve. If you’re looking for a position where you can feel valued, this might not be the right fit for you. Opportunities for growth and learning are limited, as the organization rarely promotes from within, opting instead to hire externally.

The company claims their values rest on: "People First, Integrity, Teamwork, Compete, Communicate, Innovate, and Community. These values emphasize building a supportive, inclusive, and high-performance culture for staff and fans."

The values are utopian and although written, they do not dictate how leadership treats their key contributors. 

The employees, and mid-level management are great people. The atmosphere, especially on game days, is euphoric.

If you aren't concerned about constantly walking on eggshells, it is an exciting place to work. 

If you have integrity and morals, this company is not the place for you.
