Full of Yes Men and gladhanders. Politics run that company into the ground. Its about who you know, married to, or engaged in activities with that gives you advancement. Alot of management such as base managers aren't qualified for the positions they hold.

Bare minimal observation of safety. Complacency over compliance. Training structure is a joke, tests are corrected to 80%, resulting in a less than satisfactorily trained workforce. 

If you are at the bottom of the ladder you either play disappearing act when big wigs are around or get thrown in the mud.

Safety is just a joke here. Expect you to do so much work with little or no help and when short staffed, all the SOPs, training gets thrown out the window and only results matter. But as soon as someone complains or says anything, that person becomes either a target or just gets ignored by department head. Use to enjoy working here and now policies only exists and gets upheld when it benefits them but not the employee.

Starting out it was great experience but you quickly learn how toxic it is and the management team in the maintenance department is not good. It trickles down from the top. Deep issues in this company.

The company would be half decent to work for if not for the terrible management. 

Would not recommend working here.

I thought the pay was good and the aviation environment being a unique experience as you get to see the back end of how being a passenger feels like. Other than that, your hours can be “tricky” and your scheduled shift can be extended beyond your hours expected as flight delays happen so be prepared for it

A lot of great people work at Calm, but not a lot of room for advancement. If you’re good at your job, they want to keep you in it. 

The office is centrally located near the airport and is easy to get to. The building is fairly new, but quite stark.

Working at Calm Air International LP offers a unique experience, especially given the company’s focus on serving remote northern communities. The team was very helpful especially the avionics manager. He really helped me get back on track after being away for 3 years in the industry.

It's a great company to learn and grow. Gives you lots of training and opportunity to grow. An individual can make difference in such organization. Recommend it

Awesome place to work, made lifelong friends that I still see today. Management was okay, they care about employees, but some people on the floor had low morale. Overall a great place to work, and they will take care of you.

Great staff and fun place to work. Learned all the aspects of Aviation and how to work safely around the aircrafts. Hardest part was working outdoors during extreme weather conditions.

I worked at Calm Air many years. I am very grateful to Calm Air for all the experience that I got. 
I met many good people, and at least all my management was good and helpful people.
