The Cam Clark Ford Group is an excellent company to work for. Everyone is busy taking care of their own work. All you have to do is focus on your own work and building your personal reputation and work together. Communication is a big part of the fluidity within the culture here. Everyone is kind and respectful. There are times where someone could have a bad day and just like anywhere else on the planet you should just be respectful of their space and time. This is a very mature company and the people that work here are responsible and driven to succeed. If anyone would like to be part of a community within a business where everyone is constantly striving to be efficient and provide the best service then this is definitely the place. 
Every department is different. If you’re looking for a career you can definitely make one here. If you’re looking for something temporary you’ll probably end up wanting to stay permanently. 

There are a lot of company perks like discounted Gas, discounts in service and parts, discounts on car washes, discounts to purchase a personal vehicle, great benefits for yourself or your family, you can earn a living and take care of your family which is always nice of course. Everyone is important and everyone makes this place work smoothly. We have great receptionists, very welcoming and attentive. Our managers are very good at what they do and they have years and years of experience and combined they make an excellent team, each department has managers and staff that make you feel confident in the service it provides customers. 

Come with a great attitude and you’ll enjoy your work. 

If you're a technician thinking of working here, think twice. The culture is cutthroat and self-serving — everyone’s only out for themselves, and throwing coworkers under the bus is just part of the daily routine if it means getting ahead.

There’s no real sense of team in the shop. Instead, it’s all gossip, cliques, and politics. People would rather whisper behind your back than help you out. And forget about fair treatment — management/ dispatchers clearly plays favorites. The techs who kiss up and shine management’s shoes are the only ones who get handed all the gravy work, while some are left scraping for scraps to barely make 40 hours.  If you are looking to be an apprentice, don't even bother, they will make empty promises and will never sign you as one. 

It doesn’t matter how hard you work or how skilled you are — if you’re not part of the inner circle, you're invisible. Zero appreciation. Zero support. Just a lot of stress and disrespect.

Since leaving, I’m now at a far better shop where everyone gets along, supports each other, and nobody has to brown-nose for fair treatment, gravy is equally distributed. It’s proof that healthy, respectful workplaces do exist — this just wasn’t one of them. If you value your mental health, self-respect, or even just a decent shot at fair hours, stay far away from this place. 

Cam Clark Ford was the firs place I worked after college and I was thrown to the wolves. With no sales skills and minimal communication skills I was forced to adapt quickly.

There was a very disciplined schedule and there was minimal flexibility. A meeting started the day and a review of the existing inventory by way of a lot walk. We would balance receiving sales calls with talking to customers that would arrive on our lot.

I learned about human nature, developing relationships, professionalism, integrity, clarity, and honesty.

Management at this company were mostly enjoyable to work with. They expected a lot out of us which translated to sales. They were relentless with training and set sales goals high. Pay was low, but increased with sales and that pushed everyone to produce.

There were new co workers every month. I was a veteran after one year.

The hardest part about the job was the inability to have a balanced work and personal life.

The most enjoyable part of the job was working working with the same customers and their families over my seven year career.

Well what can I say little good lot bad up to you whether you want to roll the dice with chance to work here. Be a hack service manager she likes them cause they make hours despite not putting stuff back together right and modifying parts to make them fit or so they can remove stuff they dropped inside of transmissions and well basically just garbage work that you’ll have to work on cause well they gotta make hours and it’s more then likely going to be a disaster trying to do your job good cause well they don’t like that they would rather you cross thread and super glue and trust me this place use so much super glue they have a chemical on site all the time to remove it but hey good luck. Oh and I quit to go enjoy not working on other ppls garbage good luck. Oh and I forgot to mention the stupid little games you get to play for your production bonus it’s not given you get to play a stupid game where you might not win anything so don’t buy the —--they shovel and stay away

I loved working for Cam Clark. The staff was welcoming upon arrival and helpful throughout the training process. Lots of friendships and long term employees there. Nothing is swept under the rug and any concerns are always delt with professionally and with privacy. The management staff take feedback and criticism well and use to to better themselves. The work life balance is healthy, where you can take time needed for vacation without the management making you feel poorly for doing so. Work loads are based on performance as is rate of pay and interest in the job or tasks. Movement around the dealership is easy and often hailed in a positive way to improve ones skillsets. Training is always offered and kept on until you feel ready to do it on your own. Management offer incentives to produce and many in house events for staff are held. Each department is supportive when you need something and there is always someone willing to help you.

Although every day is not perfect, I genuinely believe that our team members act with intention. I know that I haven't always shown up as motivated and I could have been and the company had been patient with me and gave me an opportunity to progress. I continue to apply what we're learning every day. Everyone has bad days or days where boundaries are challenged. In all fairness, the industry has changed drastically inside of 20 years. Although our dealer group has grown quickly, I know we're always looking for ways to improve, progress and lean into our values. 

Some days were extremely busy and others were slower. The employees work well together to get the customers vehicle serviced as quickly as possible and keep the customer informed of anything going on with their vehicle. It's a very customer service based company, you meet new interesting ppl every day. Regular customers are always happy to see you. The hardest part of the job was keeping up with the work load at times and keeping true to the estimated finish times for customers. But like anything in mechanics, sometimes things take longer to complete than originally planed. The ppl you get to work with are all so different but so much fun to work with, everyone tries to keep the mood light and enjoyable.

• Public embarrassment used as a management tactic rather than constructive feedback
• Management speaking negatively about employees behind their backs, creating distrust and division
• HR gossiping about employees’ personal business, violating confidentiality and professionalism

As an experienced, licensed auto tech. I am familiar with procedures and practices in this field. The Dearborn location in Kamloops offered me a job as a tech in their unionized shop.  Management (who is not unionized) failed to inform me that there was an active 72hr strike notice given,  I started a job and worked one day before a strike was to commence.  I personally heard management belittle and insult my coworkers who didn’t fall directly in line with their agenda.  

This was unfortunately the shortest time at any one job,  I lasted one day. 
Everyone can make their own decisions on the quality of employer they work for but if you’re considering Cam Clark Dearborn location I will insist you ask many detailed questions and talk to the techs about the atmosphere.    



If you’re willing to put your head down and do the work, be prepared to have that work used by others. In my experience, the people who actually pulled their weight ended up covering for those who didn’t, and the lazier staff benefited from effort they never put in.

Bullying between coworkers was tolerated rather than addressed, and management didn’t step in the way you’d hope. Promotions also didn’t seem to track with merit - from what I saw, who you were close to personally mattered more than how well you did your job. That’s discouraging when you’re someone who shows up and gives it your all.

I’d think carefully before joining. There are good people here, but the culture rewards the wrong things, and hard work alone won’t get you very far.
