A typical day involves showing up, going over the daily work to be done, then doing that or perhaps getting sent out to do a field job if there is a job requested by a customer.

I had lots of opportunity to learn, especially if self drive/motivated, but can hit dead ends fairly quickly too with no where to go or nothing new to learn.

Management was abysmally poor, very unorganized, poor communication, very toxic in terms of language and behavior to their employees, very stressful environment.

Some co workers are great, some are very poor! In high demand they will hire almost anyone, when things slow down the fat is trimmed, but still work with people who are entitled and don't want to work.

There is lots to enjoy about the job including driving out into remote, beautiful areas, get payed pretty well if you work a lot, lots of opportunity to learn initially, good benefits, and bosses can be flexible if you work with them.

Hardest part was the hours worked, lots of time spent driving late at night when you are exhausted after a long, long job, desperately trying to stay awake.

Typical day at cameron as a field tech would be wake up at three in the morning drive to the shop and load the truck with whatever wellhead equipment needed for the job that day. Drive up to 500km to get to site (average was about two to three hours drive to BC). Then we would wait for whatever service that was doing work on the well to be done. Then using a picker along with other specialized equipment myself and a trainee would install the well head and perform a pressure test in the field. Write our ticket and interact with the customer and then proceed back to the shop for cleaning and maintenance on the trucks as well as minting a logbook.

Company was going good. You have to hang out with manager and supervisors to survive. Supervisors mainly send the guys who are their friends. If you are a slacker and lazy worker you don't have to worry if Manager or supervisors are your buddies. TJ is the worst manager to work with and very unprofessional and racist. 

You will go up to the supervisor position no matter how many jobs you screwed up if you are friends with the managers.

I had a great time at Cameron I enjoyed the people I worked with and looked forward to coming to work.  I was able to move up fairly quickly the only thing that happened was the industry took a dive and they had to make layoffs as a result in lack of projects.  The think I enjoyed the most was I was able to have a tone of free time which made a huge difference and the benefits were fantastic.

Use to go to work everyday with a smile. nice, calm & comfortable workplace.
I have learned a lot from my superiors that helped me developing my personal & professional skills. co-workers are very helpful at all time and in all fields that are related to the best of the organization.
nothing is really hard at cameron, I have enjoyed all of my duties at my work at cameron.

Spent a good portion of my life here was a good place to work with lots of opportunity for motivated people. Unfortunately management has changed and the environment changed very happy to have moved on to a more productive inclusive work place. Use this as a stepping stone you will gain good experience dealing with poor decision makers.

Cameron does not treat their employees well. They overwork their drivers and make them lie on their logbooks - if they don't lie then they won't be given work at all. There is no discipline in the warehouse at all. Most of their workers are all related which makes it a difficult place to move up if you are not related as well. There is a lot of drug abuse in the company that is given a blind eye.

Cameron Process Systems is currently part of Sclumberger, after the takeover of August 2015.
The experience of working there was excellent. Good professional team and great corporate culture.
It was severely impacted by the oil price drop and many jobs disappeared, including mine.

No hardness part of the job for me.
