Camp Fortune

Working at Camp Fortune was the best opportunity. I got to embrace an active lifestyle in a fun,comfortable, sporty environment. I worked at camp fortune both summer and winter   A typical day working in the rental shop is greeting customer, assisting them with there ski and snowboard equipment. A typical day working at the Aerial park was preparing clients for the ziplining adventure and assisting and helping them alone the way. Spending all day except your lunch break outside.

Camp fortune is situated 15 minutes from downtown which offers someone like me to have access to the resort easily. Camp fortune offers a great pay for the ski instructors and great benefits such as free ski pass for the day, 20% off at the cafeteria and free rentals. The formation given to any ski instructor teaches any new instructor how to be responsible and aware while managing a group of 8 kids. Having worked there for 3 winters already I strongly recommend Camp Fortune as a ski instructor

Great people to work with, i learned how to take care of my section as well as help out with other peoples sections if needed. Very teamwork oriented and a social place to be, everyone is everyones friend here! I would reccomend bringing your own lunch however as the staff discount is only 20% and the food is pretty expensive because of the remote location. Other than that great place!

I get to work in the morning and place the rental boots in the racks.
Attend the costumers and helping them get their rental equipment. I learned about costumer service how to be friendly and patient. Co-workers where good workers and fun to work with. The hardest part of the job is being patient when a day at work is not busy. The most enjoyable part of the job is to interact with the people (more the ones that come form another country to visit).

Dynamic and diverse environment. Growing fast with some growing pains. Loved the experience. Smart people who understand recruiting. Great mission and it really is respected and brought up all the time, it drives the projects.

I love this job for the teaching and hours. I only work on sundays (till the season is over) and have a grew time each day. Unfortunatley the management is horrible because everyone is running around ski and boarding. I hope to experience real workplace management with a more serious job.

I loved being able to snowboard around for a job and teaching kids and adults was always fun and staff was great, one of the best jobs I've had in terms of life/work balance. Salary was a little low, hard to make a living on it but it's a great job to do on weekends if you want free tickets and couple extra dollars while doing it.

I had early mornings and sometimes the days seemed long but I always had fun. I learned how to communicate with people of all ages and my co workers were amazing. I had no problems with the staff. The hardest part of the job was always staying on task and being focused! I loved being able to see the people I teach improve and looking towards me for advice.

It was an active job. The kids we were working with were often great kids. The job was badly organized at times. Even though more qualifications were acquired, the managers still gave out beginner groups to most people.

A tipical day at work for me involved check-in with clients determine their IT needs for the day, sadisfying Thoes requirements followed by everyday maintenance and updates of the IT infrastructure which includes the security surveillance systems.
