Campus Support

You'll meet some great people while working at the company. You'll bond over the inadequacies of management and the moral bankruptcy of the owner. 

If you don't mind ever getting a pay raise, being micromanaged by people who should never hold their positions, or having your creativity stifled it's can be a great place to work. 

The reality is much worse, and once you peel back the curtains even sinister. You'll experience the old boys club. Being asked to work overtime without compensation, paying for your own health care - despite being told the benefits are competitive - and having management looking over your shoulder telling you how you're doing things wrong. 

You will be so overloaded with work you won't have time to care or be able to look for a different job. 

Raises? What are those? You won't get one, but the CEO will get a 50 million dollar mansion while you're struggling to make ends meet. 

In the end though, it will be worth the sacrifice you'll make to help exploit people down on their luck and extract every last dollar they have on the promise of a better tomorrow. 


A typical day was in a highly toxic, bully-filled environment; everyone gossiped and tried to undermine each other, even the manager. The team was inexperienced, and employees were often assigned tasks unrelated to their knowledge. I realized how harmful weak management and a toxic culture can be. Management was inexperienced, focused only on appearances, and offered no real support. The hardest part was dealing with unprofessional behavior and low-quality work, while the most rewarding part was applying my own skills despite the environment. This experience highlighted the value of competent leadership and a healthy, respectful team culture.

Unfortunately, my experience working at Campus Support as a software developer was a terrible one. The management was subpar, leaving me with a constant feeling of pressure and a lack of work-life balance. The managers were often impolite and unapproachable, making it challenging to address concerns or seek help.

During my time there, I found the work environment to be toxic, and the constant pressure made it difficult to stay motivated. The company seemed to lack a clear direction, and communication was poor. It was challenging to work effectively with the team due to the unhealthy work culture.

Overall, I cannot recommend Campus Support as a place to work, at least not for software developers. The experience was a terrible one, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for better employment opportunities. The work environment was not conducive to professional growth, and the management was not supportive of their employees.

The current IT director and VP of the company are not concerned with employee retention. Watch your back and don't ever let your guard down. No matter how hard you will work, do not expect that your will be acknowledged for a job well done. Terminations happen continually. Revolving door employer that only concerns themselves with profit. For an education company it conducts itself with no regard for the quality of the student experience and or staff retention. 
it is more survivor Island than workplace, cost cutting was the goal and removal of all reasonably paid staff that knew what they were doing. The new team is chaotic and unorganised. Total lack of leadership knowledge of the environment they support.

As a member of the Campus Support team, I'm able to contribute meaningfully on a daily basis to this large, dynamic organization. Working with CS management inspires me, and keeps me motivated to meet group goals and collaborate for growth, efficiency and continuous improvement. I'm energized to come to work each day. The majority of my colleagues here have been with the organization for more than 5 years, and some more than 10 or even 20 years. I assume that, like me, they enjoy the professional, fast-paced environment and appreciate high expectations. 

In my time at Campus Support I have found my team members to be supportive, helpful, and inclusive. Feedback and input is encouraged at all levels. Every day is a little bit different from the last, so I am constantly learning new skills and tackling new challenges. Hard work is encouraged, but so are breaks and working reasonable hours. I look forward to coming in every morning, even when things get a little busy. 

There was a lot of work to do at multiple work sites.  Each site (Campus) had it's own director who had his/her own requirements and it often made things more difficult than necessary.  The work load was crazy as you had to support technical staff and students who often had zero experience with the computers they were using.  The whole operation runs on a shoe string budget and the senior management in Burnaby often seem to make poor decisions. 

The amount of work you do and the pay you receive does not make sense. You should expect to take calls every second basically you will be speaking most of your shift. I worked there for years and all I saw was neglect and poor management. Don't expect culture, growth, benefit, or teamwork within this company. If you looking to work in the french department I will advise you not to, they treat the department like the workers are nobody, when they actually do the most work with the minimum pay. 

I’m very happy to be part of the company. Everyone is very professional, approachable, friendly & kind. There’s a lot of room for growth and development.  Also, the level of professionalism is one of a kind. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to help and support you. I can already see that my career experience will be amazing as the company continues to expand and hire more people. It’s a great place to work and I always look forward to come to work.
