Great diversity; they employ 90% or more people without Canada permeant resident status, but in return this creates issues regarding understanding of job during training, safety, communication.

The pay isn’t great, raises are far and few. 18.25$ to start and generally after 6-12 months you’re bumped to 19.25$, but not much after. Turnover is fairly high at CRM due to stagnant raises and lack of advancement so many people job seek for other opportunities to advance their career or experience in similar field that pays more for the similar job position. 

Management isn’t great, they have high expectations and when there are production issues along the line they like to push the blame on said supervisors or production workers; training is very difficult when the turnover is so high and the company generally only hires employees without PR status who usually have language barriers making training and job undertaking difficult for them. In some cases there is interpreters. As a result of poor training or lack of training or hiring experienced professionals, there tends to be many production problems. 

Safety is a big problem, management likes to pick and choose when it comes to safety whether it’s cost effective to fix or not. They expect production and maintenance staff to work in unsafe environments and work with or on broken equipment that is awaiting to be repaired or neglected. Ie: working at heights on a 20ft ladder with no tie downs for a harness and a 20m drop right beside the railing which the ladder stands; walking on conveyor system to fix an issue manually as required to complete job, but there are multiple broken rollers and a 3-4ft drop beside you; lack of PPE in the plant or broken PPE that needs replacement. 

Lack of hand wash stations, eye wash stations, first aid kits in areas where they should be due to the extreme chemical exposure. Production manager denies their existence in areas of plant because the sister plant in china doesn’t have them and because we are not working with chemicals in certain parts of the plant on a daily basis, but that is not true when they have us mop the floors using corrosive chemicals, using garden spray canisters (most leak) to spray Oxonia active chemical, but if you were to get in your eyes or on skin or uniform you need to take elevator/ stairs down to first floor and find a shower/eye wash station/ change uniform. 
Remember lack of PPE provided or it’s provided but comprised. 



The place has a lot of potential to be a great environment, but there are still things that need to be ironed out before that can happen. Better training initiatives for employees for them to understand the process and their roles and responsibilities in it. There are plenty of people who do their jobs as best they can, but there are plenty that just tow the line or are complicate which then potentially slows down work flow.

Supervisors are good and doing the best they can with what they have, while any management above them needs to be more in tune with the on the ground work and temper their sometimes lofty expectations with what is actually possible with current man power. 

Every factory has turnover, but I feel they really need to push to hire as many people as possible as sometimes there will be understaffed crews which can lead to work load imbalances. Sometimes it feels like they aren't actively hiring when they can.l use all the manpower they can get. Along with hiring competent people who should have some basic background or be willing to learn.

Initiatives have been made to remedy some of these problems. Training has been built and revamped,  communication has gotten better over time, synergy has been achieved to some degree. But there are still hurdles to get over to iron out bumps in the road before this place can reach full potential. 

I say this all as someone who has worked here for quite some time with good understanding of the day to day, all in good faith. A lot of these issues are "growing pains", and if some initiatives are taken, it'll be a great place. 

I read several very negative comments but went for the interview anyway.  Got a job!  This company has had a lot of staff turnover due in part to their desire to help many new Canadians from many different countries get settled.  Some of these new Canadians believe they were entitled to treat everybody else with rudeness.  They have helped many get their PR despite what a few sour lemons state - the ones they couldn't help they were open and honest with and so those people quit and then complained about it.  I have been at CRM for almost 8 months - I have a very safe and clean workplace (we have to always make sure the place meets GMP).  I have had a raise and I am supplied with my uniforms, safety boots for different areas of the plant.  The complainers were caught sleeping.  They break rules and they paid the price.  If you want to learn to wokr with robotics this is the place for you

I worked in Canada Royal Milk for three years, beginning as Inventory Coordinator and then Logistics Coordinator and then became Logistics Specialist . I have learned a lot at this company as I was given many opportunities to work at different positions and projects. Co-workers are very friendly and sometimes I was invited to play table tennis, volleyball and dodgeball. Management team is very approachable and able to resolve my issues quickly upon escalation. They heard my opinion and the gave feedback. And this company helped me grow both professionally and personally. As a new immigrant I will appreciate the company for hiring me and helped me land my first job in Canada.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
A combination of micromanagement, broken commitments, favoritism, and constantly changing expectations that make the workplace stressful and difficult to navigate.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is controlled, inconsistent, and driven by internal politics rather than performance. There is a lack of trust, high micromanagement, and visible favoritism in how people are treated.

I was promised a healthy salary after 3 months, and was given .10  more than when I started. 
I was not treated fairly and had a difficult time with the lack of personal space I was given by some of the other employees. Being pushed and shoved should not be permitted in the work environment. When complaints were made to HR, I was told it was the cultural way and we should welcome it. 
The working environment is unsafe, there were many preventable accidents. Safety standards ignored, many corners cut at the expense of employee safety. 

I recently completed my role as a Quality Control Technician at Canada Royal Milk and found the experience both valuable and rewarding.
As a QC team, I had the chance to work on real, impactful projects like environmental monitoring and cleaning validation. 
The hands-on training, exposure to advanced lab equipment, and strong emphasis on GMP standards helped me develop my technical skills and confidence. It was a great environment to build both technical skills and confidence.


Work load and work itself is pretty manageable. Lots of times there is hardly any production and we clean day after day. Lots of support from most supervisors, but upper level chain of command has no understanding of day to day job aspects and expectations and standards; management has terrible communication skills which frustrates all areas of the plant and creates larger issues. Training and job safety is an issue and management disregards safety and proper training to some degree.  

Company still in it's infancy. There are times that you don't have production. You'll be cleaning areas which you have cleaned the previous day. Work is easy not unless you are assigned in tipping and packaging areas. Those areas are manual labor jobs where you will be physically tipping/packaging 25kgs per bag. 

It is a fairly new company with the diverse culture.  I felt nice to work here in a clean, supportive and friendly environment. Management are open minded, co-workers are nice. Pay is fair in this area.
