Demanding work but great management and co-workers. Lots of team building and branch activities. Autonomy is encouraged and the work can be fairly interesting. It was a great learning experience for someone starting a business program in university. 

There is a LOT to learn and expectations for sales and positive customer reviews are high, especially given the salary was barely above minimum wage.

Benefits and Employee ownership program are great though.

CT was a forward looking company.  We were the first to have daily interest accounts, inter-branch banking and first to go paperless.  They were innovative and inclusive.  Unlike other FIs, we had a first name policy all the way to the top....no Mr. or Ms.

If you love to multi task, meet new people, learn and utilize what you have learned then this is a great Company for you! Opportunity is endless so map out your career early! It can be tough to have a work/life balance as some positions are extremely demanding, not enough hours in the day. Staff/teams are great.

1. Typical day at work, i work mostly at night shift  so its hard me for to work during  night shift due to i came home late. but i have to deal with it because  i need to have my own income.

2. What i learn is  being friendly with staff, help them with any situation accord to job related. Be patient with others as well.

It was a pleasure to have worked for Canada Trust, as we were all like one big family. It wasn't uncommon to pick up the phone and call someone and get help or work completed.

In today's culture, you must fill out multiple forms and submit them, then wait for the correct departments to address.

Always are approachable and train employees with tools to succeed and help their customers.  Very friendly focus on customer service priority.  They were truly an amazing bank to work for  always encouraging knowing each and every  employees strength to push them to succeed

Greeting customers with a warm welcome and smile. Processing transactions and selling the products and services. Overall, Great place to work. Lots of flexibility with benefits for Part Time Staff

Canada Trust (now part of TD Bank) was an excellent financial services provider that was more than willing to educate and build the careers of those who worked there. 

A great team environment, excellent customer service and respect for the employees who deliver this service. 

Preparing lending documents and interviewing clients for loans. I learned about integrity and attitude. Management and co-workers work together as a team. The hardest part of the job was having attention to detail. The most enjoyable part of the job was interaction with the clients.

I learned a lot about banking / savings which I utilize to this date.  You are on your feet a lot which can be a con.  Management was great, offering courses to upgrade your skill / knowledge level.
