Working at Canadian College has been a rewarding experience. No two days are the same whether it's collaborating with colleagues, supporting students, or working through tight deadlines, there’s always something going on. It definitely keeps you on your toes in the best way.

I've learned a lot here, especially about working cross-functionally and adapting quickly to shifting priorities. It’s also given me great insight into how post-secondary institutions operate behind the scenes.

Management is approachable and open to feedback, which I really appreciate. There’s a genuine effort to keep communication clear and consistent.

The culture is friendly and inclusive. People care about the work they do and are always willing to lend a hand. You feel like you're part of a team that’s working toward something meaningful.

For me, the most enjoyable part is seeing the impact of our work on students. Knowing you played even a small part in someone’s journey is incredibly fulfilling.

As an instructor at a Canadian college, I can confidently say that the management is outstanding, providing great leadership and support. The staff members are friendly, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment. The college's commitment to professional development ensures instructors stay updated with the latest teaching methods.

However, one drawback of working at the college is the nature of employment being contract-based and hourly paid. This lack of stability means instructors only know the number of courses they can take at the beginning of each semester, which can make long-term planning challenging. Despite the desire to stay with the institution for an extended period, the uncertainty of course availability can create some instability.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Relatively good pay. Good opportunity to learn and grow as an instructor. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough connection with other staff and faculty. Many students aren't committed to learning.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It seems like a place where not a lot of people last and it's a bit isolated. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Teach for a few hours a day, like any other collage. There is a staff room for lunch breaks.

The college has expanded and unfortunately there is a huge lack of support for teachers from management and poor company culture due to lack of Pro D and no teachers room. Staff are friendly but you have to make an effort to get to know them. Use of tech in the class is great but this also brings challenges of maintaining students attention.

All the people is very collaborative and kind, it's totally a multicultural environment so you learn a lot from other cultures. Everybody work hard and the company is constantly growing, the management vision is always ahead which is great.

It is great place to work for sure. Management is amazingly supportive. Students and stuff are very respectful. Your schedule is set way in advance so you can plan ahead. Overall a very professional environment and culture to work. 

I am excited about the opportunity to share my knowledge with ECA students and guide them along the journey of completing their education.

I think it's a good job to start with, even without prior experience. However, I recommend changing jobs after gaining some experience. Since the company is small, there are no higher positions to move up to, and as a result, the salary doesn't increase. Still, it's a good place to gain experience.

Class starts at 9 am and ends around 1 pm. Usually have a break after every hour for 5-10 minutes. The staff are very helpful should an issue arise and I have never encountered an issue that was unsolvable.
