While employed at the CCRW, I was given a slew of e-learning material to go over and then requested to shadow my colleagues. Under their new reconfiguration, there was no onsite management to track my performance or ensure I was being allowed to shadow. In the month I was there, I was not provided adequate shadowing opportunities, nor was I coached or given adequate feedback as to how I was doing. All feedback on my work ethic, hours-in was being tracked by my colleagues - which seems unethical as they could be biased more so than management is taught to be. I was let go as “not a good fit” but in the one performance review I had prior, it was stated I was taking two hour lunches and was clocking in and out before everyone else. The other staff had flex schedules. I was fulfilling my full 8 hours regardless of when I came and left, and never took 2 hour lunches. I was also reprimanded for wearing a “low cut top” and was told we had to wear business casual. One colleague in the office would come in wearing fedoras, board shorts and t-shirts. To me, it felt like there was animosity amongst myself and colleagues, for reasons unbeknownst, and inaccurate information was given to the COO, leading to my termination. Overall a very poorly managed work environment. 

I have worked for CCRW for less than a year.  I can honestly say that at age 32, this is the most supported, exciting, flexible, and inclusive environment I have ever worked in.  I am a parent and my children have sports, doctors appointments, etc.  The management here at CCRW are completely accommodating when it comes to appointments and needing time off.  I have always struggled to find employment where they are empathetic to your home situation, and here at CCRW I have finally found that. It is rewarding every day to watch our clients thriving and to see our program succeeding.  I think the most enjoyable part of the job is the Outreach work we get to do building partnerships with community members and employers.  I have learned a significant amount from working at CCRW and continue to do so.  If you are wanting a job that is accommodating, flexible, exciting, and inclusive, CCRW is the place for you!

Bully and blame work culture, nepotism, emotional volatile leadership, unclear and unaccessible communication, browbeating, leaders lack skills necessary to take real accountability for poor financial, strategic and communication decisions. Not a surprise that employees are disengaged, and poor business performance. Gaslighting, unclear and constantly changing strategy / vision, leaders seem to have a constant need to establish dominance and power over employees, but demonstrate very little competence in leadership, effective communication and accessibility. 

I've worked for the CCRW for a year now, and I love my work. It is very fast-paced, and you'll find that you'll wear different "hats" so to say, as is often the nature of non-profit jobs. This is great if you like a job where you are never bored, and where the day-to-day is meaningful and varied. 

I feel like working for CCRW, I make a difference in Canada. I tell friends and they're amazed at the scope of what we can do for our communities. 

I like it because it challenges me, and I know I'm learning a lot. 

CCRW is a fast paced organization in which there is rarely a slow period.  They do insist on managing your off time away from the company to help prevent burnout.  The culture is one of consistent support, but also high expectations.  CCRW wants everyone to succeed and staff are inspired and passionate about their work. 
The two hardest parts of the job is the constant multitasking that is needed and the pay and benefits are okay, but it is a charity so they cannot compete with the corporate world there.

All around excellent job. 

Expectations for output is high, but you're rewarded in kind. Executive team is easy to reach, they have a ton of cool policies and procedures in place for work life balance. 

Pay could be a tad more for the job (it's definitely tough) but there are more than enough benefits to the job in general that make up for it, and that's the non-profit life. 

CCRW is an inclusive and accessible place to work. As a national non-profit organization, CCRW makes an effort to bring all employees together (virtually) across the country to feel united. They also offer additional stat holidays to some provinces that don't have as many as others, to ensure equal time off across the organization. Overall, CCRW offers flexibility to those who need it, and they are very accommodating!

Great benefits, culture, and learning opportunities. Pay is decent, not great. Not much room for growth, management can be quite removed and disorganized and often fail to recognize their staff for a job well done. Goals seem a bit all over the place and disorganized at times, and company doesn’t always practice what they preach. Often have to wear many hats. But overall, one of the better company’s I’ve worked for. 

This was once an amazing place to work, things really shifted the past couple years with a change of direction.  Many of the long time staff left, many newer were laid off. CCRW Moncton could have remained something good, unfortunately it looks pretty bleak now. I hope for a recovery however,  would be nice to see CCRW as what it once was. 

As a not for profit organization the company functions the same as its core beliefs which are inclusion, diversity, and accommodation. The working environment is a breath of fresh air.  CCRW does exceptional work in Human rights equity and educating the country about how that works in an organization.  Supportive of its clients as a partner to success.
