Tasks are repetitive and it gets kind of boring but the magazines they provide distract you while you are making frequent calls. However the magazines never change so once I've looked at all of them I had to buy myself a word search book to be entertained. I learned that this job requires patience. The co-workers and supervisors are very friendly however you do not want to get on the bad side of the head supervisor. The hardest part of the job were the long hours and the most enjoyable part of the job was getting paid.

Being  Sociology and Psychology student, Researchers are the people i like.  I like them because they are like me. I like them because they are smart, forward-thinking people who are passionate about what they do. They discuss interesting stuff. Ideas are the stuff of which research is made. Ideas are the currency, the building blocks, the glue. I like ideas.  During my work period in Canada i have come across people who are usually tackling big problems, hefty questions and trying – in their own ways – to make the world a better place. Sometimes, it doesn’t work. What matters most to me is that we are trying. We aren’t just marking time and waiting for things to happen to us; we are engaging with the world and trying to improve it for everyone.

My typical day at work would be getting on the phones and waiting for the automatic dialer to bring in calls. There are a lot of things that I learned: customer service skills, how to manage with customers who didn't speak English, time management (only talking to the customer for 30 seconds to a minute), having a business type of relationship with co-workers and the boss. There was no hard part of the job. The most enjoyable part of this job would be being able to speak in my own language (Punjabi) to the people when we were calling Mississauga (Brampton area).

Handlers are readily available and work with you.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some of the placements have sub par working conditions.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good. Handlers are responsive to working out issues

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depends on placement. Currently duties vary.

Friendly co-workers and leader, efficient communication experience at work, and great overall management and accommodation. The hardest part of the job is working under pressure but it is enjoyable to learn about the different opinions of people regarding politics.

Was with these guys for almost two years on and off. Minimum pay, worked at a call centre. Dealt with up to 900 calls in an 8 hour shift during peak periods. Called on behalf of political candidates. Majority of the managers were rather lousy.

A very comfortable work environment with friendly co-workers. Everyday consisted of making hundreds of calls and recording data collected from surveys over the phone.

Great co-workers and supervisors are nice and easy to move around and equipment is very accessible.

part time job that too when they need extra staff like during election time.
It is located in mississauga. the staff is pretty good and accommodates you based on your availability as well.

Good company just not enough work available. Good pay, overall good work environment, managers allow you to be independent and give help whenever requested.
