physically demanding, fast paced environment, small company less then 100 employees typical day preparing loads for shipping, receiving raw materials , inventory control.

learned co-operation with other team members, how to work unsupervised,  learned CPR and first aide.

Management was easy to talk to and solved issues rather quickly

co-workers were very helpful and understanding to new employees

preparing US customs papers and waybills for shipping was the hardest

driving forklift and scheduling pick up was the favorite part of job

Nothing. Long hours and no appreciation

The hours and brain numbness and environment 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poor. Everyone for themselves 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very repetitive and depressing

Supervisors have a superiority complex and can’t get over themselves they know nothing about the job that they are supposed to be supervising. They employ people who are completely incompetent when it comes to their jobs they have been hired for and completely disregard their long term employees in favour of people who have been there for 2 years 

While working midnights 12 hour shifts doing various jobs, I didn't like that the work was boring and it made the shift go by so slowly. I like a more faster pace and to work with customers not just other employees. Most of the time I worked by myself. It was very easy work with no real challenges. 

Canplex is a good facility however they don’t pay very good for what you do. Long shifts and management like to play favourites to the family they have in there over their employees. 

Work long hours. Minimal pay. Managers are rude. Go get an education so you don't have to work for companies like this. Miss a day or two of work they will replace you in a heart beat.

I would like to thank my supervisors who are very down to earth persons. I hope and wish that again I will get the chance to work with Canplex Profiles.

Work a light some days and demanding some days. In all, be fit and ready to work. Colleagues are easy going and supervisors friendly and ready to guide you through any task.

Canplex was a good place to work. I did feel I could have been given a chance to return after I had a personal problem. But overall I did enjoy the work and the people.
